I remember the last time we topped the old 'First Division' 1963 I believe,I was eighteen years old, I was proud then, I'm prouder this time around. The game has changed so much since those days it's so much harder for a 'small' club to make an impact, but boy are we making an impact.

so bizarre watching MOTD2 and listening to people discussing our title chances.

Getting settled there now.

The 4-3 win at Easter over Man U was my first home game I watched - we went back to the top of the table ... and apart from the Liverpool FA Cup Semi never won another game that season! I'm starting to believe we can do better, though overstretched limited resources may do for us once again.

Just a single point from the last five League games, wasn't it? Relegation form or worse?

My dad always told me Gordon Banks and Dave Gibson got injured in the run in at the end of the 63 season and they were just too irreplaceable for us to cope with? Just got to hope we don't get any injuries to key players this time round.

This is just unbelievable. It is some feeling to have my Leicester at the top of the league.

It probably will end, we have a tough run coming but my God it's so enjoyable right now. I don't think I have ever looked forward to Saturday afternoons so much in my life.

Can't wait for Lawro's doom and gloom again next week. I think the article he does has a league table of where teams would be under his predictions. Fairly sure the last time I looked he had WBA unbeaten and us about 16th. Plonker.

Unbelievable to be a point clear at the top of the league, but can you imagine how many more points clear we would be if we had managed to secure Pulis or fat Sam last January ?

Here's another stat/fact to add to the few in here...

7 years ago yesterday, Andy King scored against Scunthorpe to send us top of League One.

Well that was worth climbing all those sodding stairs. It's perhaps unfair to pick any players out as they were all great ( apart from Kasper who was so unemployed he might as well have brought his knitting along ) but Kante and Drinkwater were immense ( once again ).
