GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY have picked up former Cambridge United and Leicester City striker Trevor Benjamin on non-contract terms.

That was 4 weeks ago on the 15 August and Trev managed just two games for Gainsborough before their manager showed him the door and announced that he had not lived up to expectations.

Now he's back at Priestfield on trial, a ground where he played on loan from us a few seasons ago. Yesterday he got the consolation goal for Gillingham Reserves in their 2-1 defeat at home to Southampton.
