Feck me wish I'd never spoke,He'd no doubt leave Club Management to concentrate on the U21 job anyway:102:
Seems a few on here are very quick to slate other peoples suggestions but lack the bollox to suggest anyone themselves:102:

No more forest rejects please

Well Alex was suggesting Newell, which is why he started the thread in the first place....

Pearce IMO reminds me a little of Peter Taylor, his reputation is far greater than his actual ability, would definately prefer to see Newell here rather than Pearce.

I would luv it, just luv it if Keegan came here.
6 or 7 goals every game.
End to end Cup game excitement every match!
He got Man City, Newcastle and Fulham promoted to the Prem and kept them there!
Stayed at least 4 years with each club!

The thread being Next Manager which I took as suggestions...
And who is your suggestion?

But would Newell be good enough if we went up, IMO no.
Not only do we need to build a squad capable of taking us up and with a few additions keep us thier, but we need a manager that can do the same.
Kelly could probably get us up next season with the right players, but he is well short when it comes to the prem.
Brian Little IMO was a great manager, but could not hack it at the highest level, the same with Micky Adams.
I know it is easier said than done, and I am not sure who is around, but we need somebody that has got the experience at the highest level who is willing to come here to get promotion and stay to keep us up.

On his first day of training Kev is shown how Rob liked to organise the midfield

sorry but that is bull crap. Kelly cannot motivate anyone. he was happy with the performance against leeds for ****s sake. this league is not easy i would have thought you'd have known that by now. KELLY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

Pure conjecture though Dear NF. You may be right, but I'm not sure, as mad as he is, there's a good brain in his wee head and he takes no shit. He did build a very strong team at Luton, as identified on the URL at the beginning of this thread, and I think he may be a decent option. We will never know until he has the chance.

Maybe over estimated, but I think most managers could probobably get a team promoted given the right players, which was the point I was making.

Kelly has proved nothing as regards his ability to win promotion, IMO he all he has proved is that he is incapable of moving this club any further forward than the lower reaches of the Championship.

Too true, opinions are opinions.

I was not trying to say we should keep Kelly (see my reply to Lako) I was trying to say that most managers given the right players could probably get us promoted. Whoever comes in needs to be able to do more so that we do not have a Little/Adams situation where they are out of their depth in the prem.

Kelly is one dimensional in eveything he does, tactics, signings, excuses etc etc. Not good enough.

I can't see MM keeping Kelly if we arent in the top six after 12 games next season FACT.
