Yes of course things havenā€™t been as good in the Premier League than in the Championship.

Another dumb comparison that has no resemblance to the article.

****ing hell wish I hadnā€™t posted it now.
Was the stellar pre season and thriller at Walsall not a fair enough comparator?

Pre season friendlies and a second string cup game at Walsallā€¦****ing hell you canā€™t make this up šŸ˜‚

my general thoughts.

1. Cooper had to go. It wasnā€™t working and wasnā€™t going to and performances were getting worse.

2. Iā€™d have preferred a more proven set of hands here, but if we are limited to ā€œfree agentsā€ and both Moyes and Potter passed, itā€™s slim pickings

3. Pretty skeptical he has what is needed in this situation. Iā€™m actually surprised he took the job, given its risks to him. Still, letā€™s see, eh?

4. If Top actually cares about fixing the club and its reputation he needs to clear out that boardroom and leadership suite. Until then, we are massively hamstrung

Just about right

The Ranieri and Maresca appointments were both massive gambles and paid off in spades. Hopefully this one does too

You seem a bit more positive about it since the time a Championship side was rumoured to be appointing him. Surely it canā€™t have been those two matches against ****wit Cooper that changed your mind?

Meanwhile, Burnley appoint Van Nistleroy

Jebus

I was pointing out that Burnley would have been making a much better appointment than us appointing Cooper, you stunningly thick ****ing idiot

What a shitshow we were, you stupid ignorant fool - that is blindingly obvious to anyone

please stop showing yourself up you very stupid, odd little man

Jebus, you couldnā€™t make this up. You just canā€™t teach stupid

Heā€™s very clearly saying in that thread that our choice of manager is a shitshow. The post immediately above the ā€œmeanwhile, Burnley appoint Van Nistleroyā€ post refers to the appointment of Cooper. I think itā€™s fairly obvious in its proper context that Homer hasnā€™t decided to go off grid and start talking about the quality of Burnleyā€™s choices.

Do you think we can all put down the silliness and step away from it. No one needs to try to ā€˜one upā€™ anyone else on here. We are all entitled to our views. I didnā€™t think Cooper was right for us. Itā€™s fine other people think he was. I donā€™t feel particularly strong feelings about RvN either, but as before we will just have to wait and see. Itā€™ll no doubt be anything but boring.

I didnā€™t read it that way at all.

But anyway, heā€™s found his way on to my ignore list as well, so itā€™s done now.

No longer will I have to read the ā€œtop top managerā€ shite he keeps trotting out to try to ā€˜one upā€™ me as you say, or be called lots of different names because heā€™s not clever enough to articulate himself without doing so, so itā€™s all good.

Other person, not people.
Itā€™ll no doubt be anything but boring.
It better not be. The last thing some people want is for a manager to turn us into a boring regularly winning football team. For one person tho', losing while being thoroughly boring doesn't appear to have been a problem.

Itā€™s got boring as ****.

My views (for what itā€™s worth) is that Cooper was a backwards move after last year. I hoped it would work out, but the football and management was terrible. He had to go. RvN is another gamble. But it sure as hell has got me more excited than I was in the summer after Cooperā€™s appointment. What I donā€™t understand is why we havenā€™t gone for a manager who in Moyes would pretty much guarantee our safety. Why risk so much?
