Cheers, its amazing how I can go from "Meh" to "****ing brilliant" just listening to the Specials and considering ourselves as The Ruuuuud Boys!
Also, he's not Cooper, worth celebrating.
Very good of Robin Van Persie to do that. What did Ruud say? ;-)Am I right in remembering that when Our Jamie broke Nan Nistlerooys record, RvP was full of appreciation of Our Jamie, and happy for him?
Was the stellar pre season and thriller at Walsall not a fair enough comparator?Yes of course things havenāt been as good in the Premier League than in the Championship.
Another dumb comparison that has no resemblance to the article.
****ing hell wish I hadnāt posted it now.
Pre season friendlies and a second string cup game at Walsallā¦****ing hell you canāt make this upWas the stellar pre season and thriller at Walsall not a fair enough comparator?
my general thoughts.
1. Cooper had to go. It wasnāt working and wasnāt going to and performances were getting worse.
2. Iād have preferred a more proven set of hands here, but if we are limited to āfree agentsā and both Moyes and Potter passed, itās slim pickings
3. Pretty skeptical he has what is needed in this situation. Iām actually surprised he took the job, given its risks to him. Still, letās see, eh?
4. If Top actually cares about fixing the club and its reputation he needs to clear out that boardroom and leadership suite. Until then, we are massively hamstrung
Thatās how we all felt watching the clueless inept display of āfootballā we saw in those matches. Mate.Pre season friendlies and a second string cup game at Walsallā¦****ing hell you canāt make this up

Hope so. Weāll see.Just about right
The Ranieri and Maresca appointments were both massive gambles and paid off in spades. Hopefully this one does too
You seem a bit more positive about it since the time a Championship side was rumoured to be appointing him. Surely it canāt have been those two matches against ****wit Cooper that changed your mind? The Ranieri and Maresca appointments were both massive gambles and paid off in spades. Meanwhile, Burnley appoint Van Nistleroy

Heās very clearly saying in that thread that our choice of manager is a shitshow. The post immediately above the āmeanwhile, Burnley appoint Van Nistleroyā post refers to the appointment of Cooper. I think itās fairly obvious in its proper context that Homer hasnāt decided to go off grid and start talking about the quality of Burnleyās choices.

Do you think we can all put down the silliness and step away from it. No one needs to try to āone upā anyone else on here. We are all entitled to our views. I didnāt think Cooper was right for us. Itās fine other people think he was. I donāt feel particularly strong feelings about RvN either, but as before we will just have to wait and see. Itāll no doubt be anything but boring.
Other person, not people.I didnāt think Cooper was right for us. Itās fine other people think he was.
It better not be. The last thing some people want is for a manager to turn us into a boring regularly winning football team. For one person tho', losing while being thoroughly boring doesn't appear to have been a problem.Itāll no doubt be anything but boring.
