Scott Parker would be a very "meh" appointment, but not as bad as most of the other names mentioned.

It's not exactly inspiring or exciting, and it's not one I'd be that happy about - but it's also probably okay.

He won't be here more than 18 months though - we either go up and he's sacked before Christmas in the Prem, or we don't go up and he's sacked at the end of the season.

Parker plays boring, slow build up, big possession football and then goes ultra defensive as soon as they score.

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than watch more of that.

I don't want to watch his style of football. Im sick of it
That’s a fair point Lako imo. The football we’ve endured over the last 18 months or so has been some of the worst I have witnessed, particularly bearing in mind the squad at BR’s disposal.

My only caveat to that would be that maybe the players Parker had at his disposal at previous clubs forced his hand in terms of how he set up and wanted his teams to play?

Each time he got promoted from the championship he had squads at his disposal that should have been challenging for promotion.

He achieved that but it was always closely fought and using some absolutely turgid football despite having good players.

He shuts up shop early doors when leading.

I want to see some life on the pitch

Scott Parker?

At least he looks smart and well dressed on the touch-line.
Speaking of Thunderbirds (someone was, weren't they?), Parker looks like a Gerry Anderson puppet...

...spooky

Parker would be a really strange appointment.

Known for playing very slow ponderous football. Known for falling out with fans and players. Known for talking in banal cliches in post match interviews. Known for being completely hated by fans of every Club he has left when he was finally given the boot

Appointing him would mean they’d learnt absolutely nothing

So they probably will

Must say I'm not overly enthused. Fair enough he's got a good record in the Championship, and despite a crap Prem record, could argue you can't really judge the Bournemouth Prem stint as he was sacked early on for basically running his mouth about finances. That will get you in trouble at any club and is very Brendan Rodgers-esque excuse making. Good managers will make players better. There's really nothing between Parker and Smith for me so I find it a bit bizarre that we don't just stick with Smith. I think Id rather have him for his track record in building ground work at Villa and Brentford and actually doing a half decent job at the top level with Villa.

I'm not seeing anything on Twitter yet from those I'd normally see Leicester news from saying anything about Parker being selected, or even close...

I'm still hoping it doesn't happen and we find a better option.
