Re: Championship Taking Shape

Anyone know when next season kicks off and when the play-off final is?
I am trying to organise next year's holiday

Re: Championship Taking Shape

I think there will be a much clearer picture on how and who's going to be right up there closer to the season-start. Newcastle and M'Bro need to cope with a new set of players, and how that's all going to work. I personally think Watford and QPR will be strong, as well as Ipswich under Keane.
WBA may well lose their manager, which would be a disaster for them imo. I can see us doing ok next term, depending on our transfer luck this summer.
Let's see how the summer unfolds before spending too much time on this conjecture.

Re: Championship Taking Shape

Its refreshing to see that the general attitude is in realistic proportions. Too often we have been at this level and the expectation levels have proved to be a burden that the players cant cope with. Maybe if fans are realistic, the team will be more relaxed and may well perform better:102:

Re: Championship Taking Shape

I guess we have different opinions on Bristol City :icon_wink Just out of curiosity, why do you think theyll go down? Theyve done well the past couple of season since they got promoted and i rate Johnson as the best manager outside the Prem.

Just feel it in my gut. I can see them losing a few key players like Sproul and Adebola.

Re: Championship Taking Shape

I'm delighted if Shearer stays at Newcastle as I reckon they'll drop like a stone.

He couldn't even get their players to show any fight or spirit during the second half at Villa Park so how are they going to respond when things get tough ( as they will be every match) next season?

Tbh i think he will sort them out . He wont be afraid to make decisions and i'd expect more than half the players that started against Villa, wont be at the club next season.

Usually May Bank Hols weekend, Championship usually the last one to be played Bank Hol Monday as this year.

Re: Championship Taking Shape

Champions League Final is at Wembley on the Saturday Bank Holiday.

UEFA ask for the stadium to be under their control at least 5 days before the fixture.

The FA double booked it without any consideration.

Re: Championship Taking Shape

Surely you must have guessed from the name?

Don't forget he called me "he" last week.

Surprising really as I seem to remember 16 year old boys paying close attention to members of the opposite sex.

Too often !

I'm really looking forward to playing Newcastle. Even if the bookies have them as favourites to win the league I'm confident we can beat them. Optimism.
