Still, I'm pleased if he does stay. I remain convinced that if we get another run at under Pearson, we will survive.

But dear god man, please stop starting Nugent. The man can't avoid hitting the Woodwork, it's like he has some sort of Disney style curse...

So will Nigel & the Players all refuse to speak to Sky now.... if you have that policy for one broadcaster

You do know he used to be a lumberjack?

What a mad night, it's like supporting Leeds or Forest or Newcastle.

I drank a bottle of wine In disgust, I'm now having another to celebrate í*½í¹Œ

The Telegraph, Independent, Mail and Guardian carried the story which suggests all they did was copy Sky Sports. To its credit the BBC web page did not carry the story and Radio Leicester simply described it as a rumour and called it confusion which was certainly true.

The board has been criticised for a delay in responding. This seems unfair. I presume that any statement would have to come from Top and/or Susan Whelan and they would want to clear the wording with Vichai and perhaps Nigel Pearson himself.

Nothing to see here - carry on.

No smoke without fire in my eyes, really can't believe that sky have reported his dismissal without some confidence in the "source". IIRC Moyes sacking was leaked in similar fashion only to be denied and within 24 hours he had gone.

IMO he is a goner just the timing, how and when announced. Absolute PR disaster.

The Guardian is reporting that Pearson thought he'd been sacked. Clearly a complete and utter shambles at the top of the club.
