Hahaha at Mattock being a goalkeeper and also costing TWO million !!

Definetly sell him for that, he isn't that bad but he is not worth 2 million.

The BBC have corrected it lol load of bellends , anyway i say no to selling mattock ffs hes 19 years old god damn it hes obviously going to get better and will command way more than 2m.
Besides we need the likes of him to get us into the prem ( unless you like being stuck in the championship with a load of reject teams)

Why do we need the likes of him? Berner and Powell have been better when playing at left back and they cost a fraction what Mattock will reportedly go for.

Not this time next year he won't

Keep Mattock, I think hes got a decent touch on the ball and shows a bit of natural ability which is always good to see. IMO he has the ability to progress with and at a similar pace to the club....hopefully from league one, to championship and to premiership in the next few years.

Also, defending is very experience orientated and they do tend to blossom later, i am still confident Mattock will be a top class left back in years to come.

Judging by their previous buys Pearson could get two or three players as good as Mattock for £2 million. We hear that Steve Walsh has been scouting abroad, rumour says Bulgaria - and you could buy Bulgaria for £2 million.

Be serious Mattock can and will be better than both of them.

Well seeing as we dont have a crystal ball to gaze into only time will tell but i will say this.
Why sell your home grown young players with bags of potential when its quite possible they will do a really good job in gaining us promotion and keeping there once were in the prem.
This to me would not be the tactics of a team on the up and pushing for promotion infact completly the opposite.
Unless of corse he wants to leave but thats his choice .

Or he could like so many of our other supposed next best things, end up failing to fulfill said potential and sliding down the leagues.

There is no doubt that he can blossom into a decent player, however IMO I don't believe he has developed over the past 2-3 years as had been hoped. My fear is that Mattock is in a comfort zone of playing for his hometown team earning a decent wedge of cash and enjoying his local "celebrity" status. People are showing Mattock a lot of paitence and rightly so, however last season he was far from being one of our better performers and if Pearson had signed him I am pretty sure people would have been questioning his judgement.

Sometimes in football it is about making the right decisons at the right time, personally I think it is the right time for both Leicester and Mattock to go their seperate ways. I think Joe needs to get away from the comfort zone of playing for his hometown club and I think we have a manager that will use the cash to strengthen the side in key positions and bring in a more than adequate replacement.

Reminiscent of a certain Mr Stearman? :102:

Far from it, but I am not going to carried away either. He has IMO done little to justify such a hefty price tag and has yet to become an integral member of the squad. IMO he is a long way off the quality of Jack Hobbs and of similar age. IMO both Hobbs and Morrison will go onto have more successful careers than Mattock based on current performance and development.

No crystal ball needed, It is fact he will not be worth anything near that next year.

No, we don't have a crystal ball, however, his contract runs out next year and he (and, more importantly, his agent) will be all too aware of this and the fact that he can walk away from the club and trouser a nice little wedge in the process. If he proves, over the next few months that he's good enough to play in the premiership, there will be plenty of clubs sniffing round in January and he will be able to take his choice and walk away.

How is it fact , show me proof of these so called facts.
are you assuming he wont be playing for us in the near future?
Sounds to me like much speculation and no facts at all.

I would not want any of our better players to be sold to Championship rivals. Dj aside.
