Re: Palace post match thread

What a waste of an afternoon. Didn't even find Alex's tea party.

I would say the palace performance was the second worst I've seen in god knows how long.

So no prizes for guessing who beat them to the wooden spoon.

Not a single real attempt in the first half. Only 2 goal kicks to palace. I don't think they managed 3 succesful passes in a row until midway through the second half.

And what is the point of lobbing the ball 40 yards for Hume to head when he's got Leon Cort standing behind him, FFS

At least Elvis looked as if he wanted to be there when he came on.

Re: Palace post match thread

I wouldn't support a club with Shearer in tenure. Kicking someone in the face then refusing to lead England if he was charged for it.......the man is nothing short of a scumbag. I hate him with a passion....
Shearer wherever you may be,
We all laughed when you ****ed your knee,
Bellamy was right,
Shearers was shite,
Won sweet **** all in your black and white.

Maybe not quite how I would have put it, but the sentiment is right. :icon_bigg ;)

Re: Palace post match thread

Hahaha.
Its just, the blokes a lowdown dirty thug, but because of the extraodinary talent its passed over. Take Oooo Gary Gary for example. Better player and you never seen him kick, elbow (shearer must have split dozens of foreheads and lips) or shove anyone. I believe Lineker never got booked (though I expect to be put to rights if he did). It just shows you don't have to be a dirty cnut to be a good player, Shearer chose to be. They played Chesterfield (i think) in his last season and the cnut gave one of thier centerbacks a beating.
Pah.

Re: Palace post match thread

alan shearer..........................................like a kick in the head :icon_roll

Aint too worried about that, TBH.

The fact that he's a witless fecking moron that even his own board at Newcastle despised, the fecking nonsense he comes out with as a pundit, the pissing everyone around over the England job - those are more of an issue when considering him for a manager's job. Even the Ruud Gullit saga - when he told Shearer that after a knee injury like he took, you have to adjust your play to your situation, most players would have at least thought about it. But no, fecking backstabbing prima donna throws a big hissy fit and bitches everywhere until it becomes, "It's either him or me.". Pussies at Newcastle made the wrong choice.

Only Wise would be a worse choice.

Re: Palace post match thread

I havent read all of this thread or the match thread but did anyone else hear the two ****wits on radio leics say that they had never heard of a club sponsoring the extra time message before, just before half time? ERRRRR wankers try your own feckin club that have done it for over a season now.

Yep, we mentioned it in the match thread, fecking idiots

Re: Palace post match thread

Was not in the best state to view the game but im more than sure we passed the ball perfectly to a palace player precisly 3 million times today. Utter utter tosh of the highest order. Fact

Re: Palace post match thread

Pitiful, lamentable, deplorable,, miserable, abject, cringing, dishonourable, pathetic, appalling , shocking, disgraceful, ignominious, scandalous, shameful, reproachful, boring, tedious, tiresome, annoying, irritating, deficient, ****ing joke, insipid, wasteful, feeble, bewildering, embarrassing, dispassionate, unprofessional, disgusting.

I propose that after games like this afternoon's, Rob Kelly should be restricted to using words from the list above in his after-match interview.

And the players should be ashamed of themselves!!

Re: Palace post match thread

Singing was superb mind...

It was more than the ****ers on the pitch deserved!

Re: Palace post match thread

On the whole the fans of this club deserve more than 11 players going through a game with the end-of-season attitude they had, bar 10 minutes at the front of the second half.

Jarrett was awful I thought, woeful, worse than Hughes. Yeates needs to play, he looked good.

Re: Palace post match thread

Every player needs to leave except the two lads at the back. No exageration

And even half of them had a bad game today.

Re: Palace post match thread

Was away so was unable to listen to the match, were there any positive points we can take from this?

Yes. I got home more than 2 hours earlier than I usually do.

Re: Palace post match thread

boc im picking up a vibe that you didnt enjoy today.:102:

Re: Palace post match thread

Was offered a corporate ticket today, so went and was pleased to have 2 other foxes in the corporate box with me.

My take on the game. First half was garbage. Palace threatened twice and scored once. We had two ways of playing in the first half:-

Pass to Palace short. 40yd Punt to Palace long down field.

They were rubbish too, just that we were worse. AJ and Jarrett were utter toss and you would think that NEJ and Levi had never even met each other.

The host used to work for Pompey (And used to play for Norwich in '78) and knew MM. He went to see him at half time and said that MM was 'going to have a big shake up in the summer'.

Second half was marginally better as we actually created some chances, with Dicky S heading wide when easier to score and one of our mob headed a McAuley header off the line (Didn't see who). I was at the other end of the ground but the pen looked harsh.

Thoughts for next season...

Keep
Kisnorbo
McAuley
Hume

Squad Player Only
Stearman
Porter
Henderson (Even though he should have saved the first goal)

The rest, if possible, can be gotten rid of.

Can we honestly say that this lot will give us a chance at the play-offs, let alone automatic promotion? We need a creative influence in the middle of the park desperately. A proper left back would be nice, as would a proper right back. Defensive midfielder that can pass 5yds without giving the ball away would be good too.

And finally we desperately we need a coach/manager whatever that can play players in their right positions, can get players to find positions to receive the ball in space and give other players options, and can teach players to pass the ball to other players in the same colour shirt.

Another depressing Saturday courtesy of RK.

Not just him, those players today were way below the standard.
