Re: Palace post match thread

Shit match, shit ground, shit performance, shit manager, but most of all....shit pies.

Re: Palace post match thread

The atmosphere generated by us was good though. Myself and Nottingham were stood 4 rows from the top, the lads around us were singing all game.

Well not according to that knob JB you weren't, he said that the fans were quiet and should have been singing "Come On Leicester, Come On Leicester".

JB is a wanker Fact.

Re: Palace post match thread

MHS is correct.

When we arrived there were some girls screaming songs, and then they were joined by the chavs.

Although, when they piled in, I feared the worst, but they were actually ok. They sung all game, got a bit excited and enjoyed themselves. Good on em. Their performance was much better than those useless bastards running around on the pitch.

Overall summary .....

Good morning (went to The Emirates & Wembley), then shit ground, shit food, shit performance, shit tannoy system, shit cheerleaders (they wanna take a look at those Sarfend babes) shit train station, shit ride home. FACT

Re: Palace post match thread

I see in the Match Thread, somebody saying that Hume will be suspended as he got his 5th yellow today. In fact he will NOT be suspended - the 5-Yellow rule applies only until the last day of February.

Re: Palace post match thread

Not just him, those players today were way below the standard.

He has to take responsibility for this. Only two wins in the next two games will give him a stay of execution, but his time his really up anyway, surely.

The Times review and ratings make it sound as bad as others have said. Ratings a mix of 4s, 5s and 6s

I think this paragraph about sums it up:
"In truth, Palace were worthy winners, but such was the wretchedness of Leicester City that they cannot have secured an easier three points all season. Indeed, City seemed under the impression their own disappointing season is already over, a point not lost on the 1,378 travelling supporters, who jeered off their lacklustre team after 90 wasted minutes."

The worst performance since sheffield united vs leicester and o'neill

I was there today and the performance made me feel sick to my stomach,
hughes, jarrett, johnson, stearman, porter, johansson and horsefield should never have worn, nor ever wear again, a leicester shirt. kisnorbo, mcauley and hume tried, and yet were still utter shite. having said that they should be the only players who survive next season.

a ****ing disgrace of a performance, with jarrett and stearman looking particularly like they had been drinking the night before. i doubt that any court in the land would be able to prove that they hadn't.
the man next to me said that lennon and izzet used to drink in his pub the night before games.
but at least they could mask it with talent.

I wasn't there but it does sound as though were bad. I guess we don't know where to stand now though after thet great run...

Inconcsistancy ftw!

Said Kelly wasn't the right man from day one, never once changed my opinion. He is just not up to it.Nothing against the bloke and he's done an OK job but OK is as good a job as he will ever do.

Have to agree.
They should have made a clean sweep when Levein was sacked.
The managerial side of things is a team effort, if it fails goodbye to all.

Reading an article on Team Talk.com

Leicester, whose season is effectively over, offered little.

All but safe from relegation yet with no realistic hope of reaching the play-offs, Rob Kelly's men failed to move out of second gear.

If they call themselves professional footballers the above statement is pathetic.
Mr Mandaric surely has plans afoot to replace the manager at the end of the season, he must be biting his nails at the moment hoping that he made the right decision not to bring in a manager sooner.

I'm not sure who they can have given a 6 to - nobody deserved it. On the other hand, at least Stearman, Johnson, Jarrett and Hume deserved a 3 - the latter largely for making two atempts to get himself sent off in about five second-half minutes.

And I've got to say that I didn't hear any jeering from our fans at the end. I would think that at least 25% of them, including Nottingham Fox and Mike Hunt Smells, were already at the station by the time the final whistle blew. If there was any jeering, there should have been a lot more of it - to ensure the players and the management knew exactly what the fans thought of their performance (or lack of it!). If 1,378 City fans can actually find their way to the most difficult of all grounds to get to, they deserve more reward than they got yesterday.

Re: Palace post match thread - the worst performance since 'O'Neill's Sheffield Uni

I wouldn't support a club with Shearer in tenure. Kicking someone in the face then refusing to lead England if he was charged for it.......the man is nothing short of a scumbag. I hate him with a passion....
Shearer wherever you may be,
We all laughed when you ****ed your knee,
Bellamy was right,
Shearers was shite,
Won sweet **** all in your black and white.

Maybe not quite how I would have put it, but the sentiment is right. :icon_bigg ;)

Hahaha.
Its just, the blokes a lowdown dirty thug, but because of the extraodinary talent its passed over. Take Oooo Gary Gary for example. Better player and you never seen him kick, elbow (shearer must have split dozens of foreheads and lips) or shove anyone. I believe Lineker never got booked (though I expect to be put to rights if he did). It just shows you don't have to be a dirty cnut to be a good player, Shearer chose to be. They played Chesterfield (i think) in his last season and the cnut gave one of thier centerbacks a beating.
Pah.

Aint too worried about that, TBH.

The fact that he's a witless fecking moron that even his own board at Newcastle despised, the fecking nonsense he comes out with as a pundit, the pissing everyone around over the England job - those are more of an issue when considering him for a manager's job. Even the Ruud Gullit saga - when he told Shearer that after a knee injury like he took, you have to adjust your play to your situation, most players would have at least thought about it. But no, fecking backstabbing prima donna throws a big hissy fit and bitches everywhere until it becomes, "It's either him or me.". Pussies at Newcastle made the wrong choice.

Only Wise would be a worse choice.

So thats a maybe then...
