If I had 100 million quid invested or whatever the number is I would be watching the result tomorrow very carefully. If we don't get a win will the owners continue to take chances with NP in a critical year with the financial fair play kicking in next season. I think most people believe we have the players to get us up but will NP's tactical deficiency prevent this. I sincerely hope we win and win well tomorrow but the unthinkable possibility of another loss may cause a panic and an attempt to put someone in place who can get us through the rest of the season and up through the playoffs. also the owners have been very quiet recently - is this just a coincidence.

When have they been noisy?
Looking for something that isn't there, do you work for The Sun?

are we sure we don't want rid?

I was a supporter of NP until a few weeks ago where his tactical deficiencies and inability to get the players to raise their game against mediocre opposition has to be his downfall or we will definitely miss out on the playoffs. I am not being negative - it is time to make the change.

A change at this time of year has worked for other clubs in the past. Huddersfield last year, for example.
I would suggest that was despite, not because of, the change. The sacking of Clark was one of the most ridiculous things to happen in football in recent years, regardless of what Huddersfield fans will tell you.

5 points out of 21. 13 out of 21 would have had us 2nd. and we've played some dross sides over that period. i wonder if the owners are prepared to dig deep to get rid of nigel. seems crazy that with the ability in the squad, he couldnt work out the tactics required to beat these teams. given the performances of those above, we still arent out of the hunt for 2nd. however, we are now too close to those teams chasing. make the change now or give it another couple of games? if we are prepared to write off the chance of going up automatically then we can probably afford two more games to see if he can turn it around. a new manager would then have 9 more games to perform better than the sides around us to make the play offs. shouldnt be too difficult an ask if pearson really is that bad.

EDIT: 8 more games (not 9).

We may need 75 points to achieve sixth but possibly 72.

To get automatic (forgetting everyone else's form) we would require probably 82ish points.

We currently have 58 with 10 to play. 1.7 points per game to achieve 75 points or 2.4 to achieve second.

Can Nigel get us either target? With each passing inept selection, I have to be sceptical.

Would I risk changing manager now, if the right candidate was available then yes.

What selection was inept yesterday? Knockaert has been very poor lately and deserved to be dropped. Dryer wasn't available and neither was James. I'm intrigued.

Do you have nothing better to do than just keep trying to pick holes in my posts Matt?

I've explained my points enough in other threads. I really can't be arsed to keep responding to you.

Who is responsible for the performance of our available players? That will be the manager, surely? Players will lose form from time to time but this lot have all lost it at the same time with no signs of recovery. It is the job of the manager to get them performing and, at the moment, he is failing.

A striker at left back instead of the left footed defender we have sat doing nothing ?
A centre forward being forced to piss about on the right wing ?
Take your pick

If you are content with that complete and utter shite yesterday, then feel free to carry on with your eyes closed, fingers in your ear, and shouting out 'LA LA LA LA LA I can't hear you' very, very loudly

The fans are to blame for this - those who fail to see what is happening right before their eyes

I really like Pearson and the way he has done a very good job in both stints at the club, normally I would view the latest series of results as nothing more than a blip confident that the situation would be turned around, however what really concerns me is that a man who is usually calm and collected, showing little emotion in media interviews appears to be cracking. Regardless of provocation labelling paying customers as clowns and if they don't like it stay away is committing professional suicide IMO, most interestingly yesterday was all about a positive reaction, pains me to say it but dead man walking IMO

Who would you have had at left back? There were loads of people on here clamouring for Schlupp to come back and play left back. He's good enough for Ferguson blah blah blah.

Kane has played out wide on numerous occasions for Spurs reserves so it was hardly a shock.

Where did I say I was content with yesterday's performance? I would still like to know what these continual selection issues are for Camberwell.

a defender ? i know that sounds a bit crazy, but yes, a defender

No there wasn't - there was plenty of reference to him coming back as a striker, as most thought him a better back up than Vardy and Shithorn

Which defender? SSL is no more a left sided defender than Schlupp.

It's his favourite thing in the whole world, Im just glad it's not me at the minute.

Unfortunately when it comes to our performances and the club in general he cannot see the wood for the trees, anyone would think people are not entirely justified in their poor views on how the club has performed recently.

I would love to live in a world where 1 win in 7 is entirely acceptable.

I'd hate to be in a world where I said it was acceptable.

Would you mind terribly Lako if it isn't too much to ask for you to be the focus again, as I get bored very easily and you appear so much more persistent? :icon_bigg
