That may seem a bit thoughtless right now, but these people who are harking on as if the rest of their lives have been ruined need to get a bit of perspective PDQ (and that isn't aimed at MK or Jeff).

I've witnessed first hand how a person's obsession with football can ruin lives, so please don't even think about patronising me.

I will be pissed off for the rest of today, but I'm sure I'll be looking forward to next season with optimism.

Football wouldn't be the same if we didn't get emotionally involved. It's when you take it too far it becomes a problem.
