Why not? Car's are often an irrational purchase, if they were rational everyone would be driving round in Kia's or some such.

That shouldn't be right then, cos two people can't sit in one seat, no matter how many tickets might have been bought by one person.

I've had the same Client ref number since getting my ST when we moved to here, and I gave my cash to me mate who paid for them on his card cos he could get over here and my shifts meant I couldn't. He didn't have the same client ref as me...

I wonder if this online ticketing system might allow you to buy more than one set of tickets. I have no idea about how sophisticated the online booking system is, but I wonder if it would block an attempt to purchase more tickets if your brought the first set from the ticket office in person.

Just think, armchair fans, all those kids on free season tickets who spend the whole match playing on their DS's could have 2 play-off final tickets each while you, loyal supporter that you are, are denied the chance of going to the one match that you would have gone to this season.

:102: I don't get it.

This must be new then. Last season I knew at least one person who had two tickets, both with the same number.
It's not new. When I had two season tickets (starting from the first season at the Walkers) I had two client reference numbers.

My friend has two tickets in his name, one for himself and another for his cousin. They have the same client ref. and as I understand it, even though only one has been to enough away games to move to P2, if they need two away tickets they can get them both on P2.

Not sure how it would work if there is say 4 STs on 1 ref, if they all get the same away priority. I assume so.

Thank you. Knew I wasn't mental.

Ah but at least they are in ground playing their DS........:icon_wink

I know one thing, I bet L1 won't be STH only for this match just like it's supposed to have been STH only all season til certain games when it was full of folk and needing to be asked several times to shift when they were sat in our seats.....a bit annoying that actually, as when any of us want to buy a match ticket for someone, we get told we can't and have to move our ST if we want to sit with said person.

Had a few disagreements about this.

Also know that just like the last few years, those of us in L1 who just want to be able to applaud the lads as they walk round the pitch won't be able to go onto the paved bit in front of the stand like the other stands, cos the stewards and police pack the area in front of us and treat us all like wannabe thugs.

Well i'm sorry but imo that's wrong.

No wonder so many folk have managed to get P1 and P2 when they definitely haven't earned them by going the required amount of away games. Then again, I know folks who have walked in and just asked for a P1 and they've been given the card without checking to see if they were entitled to it or not.

Why do people try and scam things they don't have the right to? Makes you wonder why you bother putting the time, money and effort in going the away games when you know folk can do that. It takes the piss.

Only 2000 for the away trip? Crikey, seems a bit stingy. I take it there is no 15% rule then. At least that means no moving of L & N in the home leg.

Happy with those ticket prices as well.

Eh! Was that in reference to my post?

I can guarantee the chavvy t**** at the back will be singing "on the pitch" after about 2 minutes.

But wouldn't that mean you'd have people turning up with tickets for seats already taken?

I'd be a tad pissed off if someone was sat in my seat when I got in the ground.

I don't think so. I expect it may just allow you to access the part of the site required to buy the tickets, where you can then buy them in another section.

This may all be wrong though, so I'll wait and see first.

I have thought that all season, but as it's my friends it makes it easier for us. Of the two, one has been to away games, the other nine so at least they have made the effort. Will wait and see next season what happens when we go in on P2 sales days. I'm sure they wont face any problems though

Also, I hate the view behind the goal. Find it much harder to get the movement of the game in perspective, especially when it's down the other end of the pitch.

edit: That referred to the kop being the place not to be, I'm a few pages out.

When I bought a second ST a few years ago, I was told that I wasn't allowed to have two tickets in my name, that I would have to put it in someone elses name and it had a new client ref.

Surely that's the downside to sitting close enough to the away fans to hear them chanting back?

I'm not sure if I'm reading it correctly. Is the ticket office open till 8 pm this Thursday and Friday?

To be honest I'm being lazy in not reading it thoroughly.
