Prediction League - WEEK THREE tables

Congratulations to Doggie-muz - his haul of 23 points is the best of the week. Neither that, nor the 21 points of the next-best Swede and Boy Genius nor the Chump's best (lcfc lad on 19), was however enough to get them to the top of their various divisions - Nathan, Desert and Scarborough each keep that honour for another week.

Of those that qualified for the DOUBLE POINTS bonus, it was lcfc40 who took most advantage whilst KIVETON must be wishing that he had tried a little harder. The respective leagues' mugs this week were bocadillo, Hammond Organ and joe(enjoying the sun)501 - the former with only 6 points; the other two with only 6 between them.

Holy shit!!

The Hull v West Brom score was 1-3. The BBC site was showing 0-2 when I checked it on my phone on the train last night.

I need to check through everybody's predictions again!

I apologise to Boc but I thought that the Cardiff game was worth 3 pts because it was only one goal away. Sorry if I was wrong. You should blame my lad he checked them for me, I usually just presume your correct.

Ah no. The 'one goal out' thing applies in the case of drawn gmaes only, i.e. actual score 1-1 - if you put 0-0 or 2-2, you would get three points.

Just to make it clear - I have no problem at all with people asking me to check their score. Your appeal today got you another 2 points by highlighting the mistake I had made with the game at Hull.

You whinging git! Some of us just get on with it, accept that mistakes are made in the knowledge that they'll even themselves out over the course of a season, but not you!!! Robbed of 2 points I was, robbed!

5 points for a wholly correct result
3 points for correct goal difference
1 point for an otherwise correct result

In the case of a drawn game, you get the 3 points if you are only one goal out; only 1 point if you are two or more goals out.


Examples:

You predict the score will be 2-1:

• If the score is 2-1, you get 5 points
• If the score is 1-0 or 3-2 or there is any other similar winning margin for the home team, you get 3 points
• If the home team wins by any other score, you get 1 point
• If the match finishes 1-1, 1-2 or in any other draw or away win, you get SFA

You predict the score will be 2-2:

• If the score is 2-2, you get 5 points
• If the score is 1-1 or 3-3, you get 3 points
• If the score is 0-0, 4-4 or any other draw, you get 1 point
• If the match doesn't finish in a draw, you get SFA

I hope you're not going to tell me that I got your score wrong as well!
