Wouldn't finishing 7th, which would be our highest finish for God knows how long bar that season, despite losing our greatest ever player, suffering the huge tragedy of the helicopter crash at our ground resulting in the loss of our chairman who has been so pivotal and inspirational to our recent success, with very little investment compared to others and out performing others who have spent far more, with one of the youngest squads in the league, investing in one of the best training facilities in Europe whilst also laying plans to expand the ground and surrounding areas so that we can maximise our revenues that will allow us to sustainably mount a challenge to the top 4-6 be actually a bit more than acceptable?

Of course we should aspire to be the best in the future but we also need to be realistic about our current expectations.

Last year around this time of the year I genuinely thought we could catch Arsenal who had a dreadful season. If 2015/16 hasn’t taught us that a well set up team with good players can achieve anything then we might as well not bother.

I agree with most of this. Definitely if you look at the factors which have contributed to this season.

I guess it's the way we would go about it rather than the actual finish.

Inconsistent performances, getting wins when we absolutely need them (to reportedly save his job) rather than across the board and playing football which is dull to watch.

Also, quite often coming away from almost every match without ever saying "we played brilliantly."

I never feel satiated with Puel's performances. I always feel like I need something more. Or that I missed out on a performance.

It's unlikely but not impossible. This is a real curious mismatch to me, I like to think we're an ambitious club but we're headed by a man who appears to be doing his best NOT to win things. Resting his best side in the cups despite thinking it's impossible to be better than 7th in the league.

If we finish up 7th this year I think most of us would be fairly happy with that, it's just the lack of ambition and negativity shown by the manager a lot of the time..

Im not disappointed by 7th and as per my previous post its more about attitude for me.

One thing that irks me is that yes we had one brilliant season, but now it's all "oh we're Little old Leicester let's get back in line and stay there" which is a load of bullshit.

It should be "we were little old Leicester, then we won the Premier League and now we have come up in life so we fight ****ing tooth and nail to get into the top 6 and break the dominance of these six teams."

Until 09/10 Man City had only ever finished as high as 10th. Now, less than 10 years later they are touted as possibly "the best team in the world." They certainly didn't do that by limiting their mindset.

For the above reason, I want Puel to leave my football club at the end of the season. I want a manager in who believes we can cause havoc and disrupt some shit.

We will have the best training ground in Europe. A recent Premier League trophy in the cabinet. Some of the world's best football fans. Owners who have given us everything and more to succeed. A reason to win apart from for glory but for Khun Vichai too. A young, vibrant and exciting squad with bags of potential. Even a possible 45,000 seater stadium. Not to mention sausage rolls with our badge stamped on them.

I want someone who take us in the direction we're looking at not back to 2008.

I think it's safe to say that for the vast majority of our fans, bar the PL win, they have never seen us finish as high as 7th at the highest level.

Our away record must be way above average then as that home record isn't good enough for the upper mid table finish we had and to show where we are now.
