Puel out

I wouldn't be averse to the idea of pinching Lampard from just down the way. He's got Derby playing some good stuff with not especially great players imo. Would prefer him over anyone else in the Championship and also both Jokanovic and Wagner.

The names are Killing me

Rogers best of a bad bunch.

I just want someone to come in with a real philosophy and give the club it's identify back.

Ehh. Promotion from the Football League is a tough job, sure. Pretty weak bottom half of the Premier League though, in fairness, and it has been for years. Besides which, aren’t we already fairly well established in this league? If we’re seriously looking at taking the club to the next level long term, what part of Rodgers’ CV suggests he can do that? A couple of years at Swansea and one decent season in three at Liverpool?
I agree with you that he hasn’t really done anything to suggest he can take us to the next level long term from our position. But he hasn’t had that opportunity I would argue. He has never managed a club in our situation. He jumped straight from Swansea to Liverpool because of his fine achievements as Swansea manager.

The fact of it is folks that if Puel starting playing even remotely more attacking football at home, I don't even think we'd be having this discussion. I don't attend the away games very often, but the ones I do, I'm quite happy for us to stifle the opposition and nick a goal. That's surely what away days are all about?
I think somebody posted home and away tables and our away form is pretty high in the league?

Our away form is good, but I would prefer us to set up a bit more attacking against some of the poorer teams away from home. I went to both Fulham and Palace away in December, and they were both a complete and utter abomination.

I'm wondering if that is what the opposition is doing to us at the KP...

I really don’t know how you come to that conclusion from that clip to be honest.
It may only be 13 seconds but those 13 seconds show a reasonably happy camp. What would you need to prove it?

I think that's indicative of why that specific Guardian journalist thinks what he does. I don't expect us to be a free flowing attacking team away and if it heralds results it's justified.
I don't think it's justified at home, especially when the results have been very poor.

I've no doubt that is their plan, as I'd expect it to be. However, what's concerning isn't that they are succeeding in doing it, it's that we don't appear to have the slightest interest in preventing it from happening. Southampton must have been in disbelief at how easy their half time leads was.

I’d assumed sarcasm, since the video suggests a happy camp
No - it suggests a happy camp, which is the point I was making. Not sure why City Fan was expecting, some kind of special "Look how happy we are" party?

You made an assumption that they don’t hate him based on a 13 second clip of Jamie Vardy jumping out of the bushes dressed as Superman. Do you know how that ridiculous that sounds?

They probably don’t hate him, bet they hate playing for him though. But to use that clip as some sort of evidence for anything is just baffling.

People can see the same video clip and come up with totally different conclusions.

I thought it was Spiderman!

What’s your assumption based on? Vardy saying the play doesn’t suit him precisely?
