So, those who wanted Puel out - would you still replace him now?
Two average wins against two teams with two points doesn’t change that much for me. The memory of the last four months of last season is still fresh in my memory.

However I wouldn’t choose to get rid of him just yet, similarly I wouldn’t cry many tears if they did get rid of him right now.

I’m still not convinced.

Yeah. About the same for me. We are obviously far too good to go down, which I had concerns about.

I still don't think we are 'there' in terms of what Puel want's us to be but i'm more than happy with our progress this far. We still aren't quite gelling as a team and I think this will take a further 6 games or so until we are 'there.'

Defence is my main concern along with many other posters on here.

Just need another quality central defender Morgan has and will struggle against quality opposition, we have real strength in depth now and Puel has to be given credit for that.

He is doing well imo the next 7 or so games are winnable and we could be well placed come Christmas glass is half full!!

I think that our next three matches are key to judging our manager and prospects for this season.

In terms of quality of players, budgets, and so on, these games are against those teams most close to us. We 'should' finish 6th to 9th. These three opponents 'should' be our main competition for these positions.

With two homes games out of the three, I would say that our standard expectation should be 5-6 points from these matches. Any more and we've done very well and can be justly optimistic. Any fewer and we're probably heading for another underachieving season.

Puel has had a year with this group now. He's moulded them as he wants to. His job is to ensure that we're competitive with the likes of Everton, Arsenal and West Ham. I'd be tempted to add in Spurs too at one end and Wolves at the other too.
