The gist? Oh, I dunno really. Kinda struck me as the kind of meeting that happens in all manner of clubs, societies, council sub-committees, etc etc etc etc. Where well meaning individuals come together to argue the toss, attempt to impress each other, grab the limelight (on a pathetically small stage) and have a bit of an ego wank into the bargain. Some, full of themselves, make it up as they go along and can be aggressively intimidating just to make themselves feel good, to justify their own sense of self-importance.

I'm very sure many of us have been in such meetings. Pathetic tin-pot individuals strutting. Life's too short too concern yourself with such things. You did the right thing to switch off.

I can find it strange the lengths people will go to to annoy others. I mean, how wronged would you need to feel to clamber up on to someone's roof and take a dump down their chimney? I don't think I could get that worked up about anything.
