I could be wrong but I think the whole Sousa/Pearson thing was the owners working in the background.

Even if they are loyal, that will only stretch too far. I wonder how loyal they'll be if we're bottom of the table come Sunday evening.
I will bet you any amount of money they won't sack him even if we are relegated and quite rightly so.

A whole box of pickled onion flavour monster munch.

The loser gets to be taken roughly by Homer, still interested?

I hope he doesn't get sacked if we get relegated now, if that's what's on offer!

Good contribution to the discussion as always.

So what you really mean is that you decided to call the letter a "dreaded vote of confidence" and then built a story around it.

What are you on about? Why do you only take a snippet of a post to comment on?

You must be either a very bored individual, or you have the mental capacity of a 5 year old. Or a troll. Or potentially all three.

Do "they" call that the dreaded put down?

It's his favourite past time. I wouldn't let it concern you - he'll accuse you of being 'hyperbolic' or 'hysterical' even though he has no idea what either of those words mean. I think he must have 'word of the day' toilet paper; I can't wait for the next installment.

Onto matters more important, this is a fantastic statement from the club and very well timed as well. Ranieri is owed the right to take the club as far as he can in the CL. He's earned the right to demand more from the players he brought together for something rather extraordinary and wonderful. I don't believe this is a case of paying lipservice to those who want him to stay, there really is a very strong message here. We can't go back to a revolving door in the managers office and keeping Ranieri, allowing him to rebuild a new 'band of brothers' if necessary, will, I am sure, pay dividends in the long run.

Fantastic post Pop (the bottom bit I mean)....

Claudio was talking about Kipling's poem "If" in his press conference. It's always worth a read and so for the unenlightened, here it is.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

An apt poem given our position but maybe the players would better understand Jabberwocky:

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Couldn't have put it better myslf - I take it that the line
"So rested they by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought." refers to our back four half asleep, standing around next to Kasper?

:)

Lako did infer tht Kasper is the tumtum tree after the last match.

If I’d known I was paving the way
To cavities, caps and decay,
The murder of fillin’s,
Injections and drillin’s,
I’d have thrown all me sherbet away.
