If Shakespeare wins us the CL, I won't complain. But Barton and Matteo did not last long. Haven't made a real success of it.

I didn't say they didBut Barton and Matteo did not last long. Haven't made a real success of it.
I think I preferred him when he had he other job as a crowd surferWith tongue firmly in cheek.
Another fine, dramatic performance from Cantona.
Must have been after the Everton cup game.http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...eri-leicester-butter-in-the-bin-a7624301.html
Claudio Ranieri left Leicester's players 'baffled' by butter rampage
According to a report in The Times, Leicester's players were left shocked after they returned to the dressing room following a rare away win to find former manager Ranieri hurling butter into the bin
"Lads, I know we won the league last year but our target for this season is 40 points." Baffled. Our players are remarkably easy to baffle
"Lads we're playing 433, one of the most well known football formations of all time today". Baffled.
"Lads we've got loads more games this season so I'm going to have to rotate the squad a bit like every single other club who play a lot of games does". Baffled.
"Lads I know Demarai Gray looks sharp but I'm going to introduce him gradually like all good managers do with young players". Baffled.
"Lads I don't think sticks of butter are a great post-game snack so I'm going to leave the good food but put the butter in the bin". Baffled.
Maybe, just maybe, that despite his public face CR was actually bat shit crazy and that is what was baffling!
CR inherited the back room staff. In fact, it's reported that it was a condition of his employment that he retain them. Yet it seems he had little belief in sports psychology. He wanted "warriors" - and perhaps not men that needed 'understanding' and motivation in focused and personal terms. Now we hear him of him binning the butter (that sounds like a metaphor, if not a euphemism!), so maybe he didn't trust the nutritionists either. Maybe, just maybe, he was trying to "slowly slowly" turn an established back room into one of his own liking. Maybe that disrupted things.
He may not have actively sought confrontation but maybe he created the atmosphere for it. He gave the impression of someone quite relaxed and easy going (that was certainly the persona he projected) but maybe, behind the mask, he was Machiavellian and was looking to establish his own regime because that was what he knew and understood. Maybe he had no time for the kind of back room he inherited.
I thought some of the comments about a number of the back room staff going to Dubai and their roles and responsibilities being explained to the players spoke volumes.
From here.Comments from where? I'd like to read them.
Wouldn't want a manager who isn't ambitious enough to regard performances under Ranieri this season as unacceptable nor realistic enough to acknowledge that in those situations it is the manager who has to go, anyway.
