I thought defensively they looked pretty shit. All of their defenders looked shit scared whwnever they had posession.

Yes defensively we caught them out, and Fryatt bailed them out:icon_roll

Overall they had every reason to feel a little hard done by.

He hasn't. Majority of people made that on the judgement his crossing was better than Neilson's as it actually beat the first man. However, every cross instead ended up in the goalkeepers hands.

Like to see how he'd cope with a real winger. Croft's a fat workhorse nothing more.

I think people have made their minds up on Neilson now, he was fine last night and against palace and should be kept in the team IMO.

I agree he has been much improved in the last two games and apart from Weale was perhaps our best player last night. Still not convinced by him though.

He'll be okay I reckon, looks like the kind of guy you can rely on to put himself about and get stuck in.

I'm chuffed to bits with Weale, what a cracking signing he's turning out to be. Bar Fulop he's the best 'keeper we've had since Walker for me.

How was Weale MOTM last night? He had to make 1 save all night. Personally, I though Gallagher was til he was subbed off.

Looking back and reflecting on last nights game....we were simply over-run in midfield by pace.

Play the same team on Friday then we will get mullered...this q.p.r team are very similar to reading...in that they break fast and use the width well.

Ithink it could be a good idea to play 2 wingers on friday...to even things up,this is to make sure our full backs are not exposed...especially neilson who aint the quickest.

Saw the highlights on EMT. Somebody had commented earlier and I looked out for it.

For nearly all the Reading goal efforts, Weale had superb positioning, forcing the attackers to shoot to the edges of the goal.

So he apparently had little to do because he 'forced' the attackers to shoot away from the centre of the goal.

It's calling covering your angles. A massive part of goalkeeping training.

He's no fuss, no panic. After years shitting myself as Martin/Warner/Henderson/Logan approached the ball, it's done wonders to the heart rate.

I agree Weale looks a fantastic keeper and alongside Bruno and arguably Hobbs has been our most consistent player this season, I was just surprised a lot were saying he was MOTM last night, that's all.

I fully expect City to be more defensive and compact against QPR, and therefore try to nullify their pace. If so, then i'd have DJ drop off from the main striker, and see if we can use some pace against them on the break. :102:

Innocent doesn't do that. She simply identifies herself as a scouser. Though why she thinks we should take any notice of a scouser, she doesn't say.

Thanks, Boc. That's fair.

I identify myself as a Scouse, and occasionally identify myself as a journo. I accept your put-down, perfectly. The reason I show myself as a Scouse is that, as a culture, we are harsh, outspoken, and terminally sentimental, as we are mostly Irish by descent. Boris Johnson and The Scum did it rather better than you do.

In addition to my Irish/Scouse heritage, I happen to be, as a mere woman, pretty clued up on football. I am the only contributor to your pages who has had a 3-page spread in 4-4-2. I'm not bleeding stupid. I am pretty logical.

Any other national football journalists, on this site, please identify yourselves.

And where's Macky when I need him? :)

Berner needs to come in for McGivern at QPR.
Oakley needs to be in the middle with Wellens(like they were at the start of the season and bossing the midfield)
We need a proper winger out on the right, ffs we've got enough of them!

I thought Brown and Hobbs were done for pace every time last night.
King was anonymous.
Neilsen is rubbish.

I'm glad I got me camera back....managed to get the obligatory shot of Oakley's arse. Excellent!:icon_bigg

Yet again nobody mentions gender and you feel the need to bring it up. You will then spout something about men being insecure and women all dominant. It would be interesting (albeit only mildly) to know why you always feel so insecure in your womanhood.
