7 points from 9 yet misery and dissension reigns. FFS.

I'd rather focus on the positives really...none of us would have been surprised at the start of the season if we were in the bottom ten at this point, so I'm chuffed to bits to be pushing for the playoff spots...

The future is bright...The future is blue.

Well i saw the game last night on the internet and my feedback is the following:

We played crap at times but we had some good build up and some good movement nothing special. Waggy should have stayed on, DJ couldn't even stay onside.

McGivern is not good enough for the first team he got abused from that Jobi, he had Mcgivern rolling in his own shit at times.

Robbie Neilson played a decent game, got forward on occassions and defended well, got stuck in, sometimes he would get confused as well i think thats down to the communication with Oakley,

King i didn't see all game except that shot he took in the last 5mins.

Fryatt missed 2 excellent chances which he shouldn't have missed, i told think it was a good save it was more he just hit it at the keeper and didn't really make the keeper work. I think Fryatt could be lacking some confidence.

I thought Gally played ok as well considering he was out of position.

Overall not good enough - we are lucky to have won. If this Reading team had any confidence then we would have taken a beating.

can't believe we won the game.......great header, but we were pretty bad apart from that...Oakley again looked clueless...thought Brown stepped up and was solid at the back....McGivern must go back!!! he was terrible

I think a special mention is needed for weale as once again he didn't put a foot wrong he commands his area better than any keeper i have seen play for leicester in a long time. And dont think reading missed all their chances because of bad finishing alone weale's positioning was excellent which forced their strikers to shoot wide.

Also I can't understand why everyone is having ago at neilson i thought he did ok,I think mcgivern is not ready and seems to have to adjust himself everytime the ball comes near him.

Brown and hobbs gave their strikers too much room in the first 20 mins allowing them to turn far too easy but soon put it right and i thought they were then excellent.

For me oakley was poor again his passing let him down but he still did some usefull things.

King did not do anything wrong but that is because he didnt do anything we might as well of started with 10 men.

Fryatt was ok but should have taken his chances and waghorn did very well in holding the ball up and it was a great finish.

Gallagher seems a very good player with a footballing brain who likes to pass the ball instead of hoofing it.

Wellens was good as always especially as he was playing for two.

Subs did ok Dj looked hungry but rusty howard looked good and berner didnt get enough time to do anything good or bad.

Overall a good result away from home 3 more points even though we nicked them.

And in response to an earlier post we have every right to be where we are we have a good squad and a good manager and our league position is proof of that.

I fully agree with Lako - we should give credit where credit is due, but we should also criticise as well. Too many people have got their blue tinted spectacles on tonight and if you think Pearson will be happy with the performance tonight then you're deluded.

Watch yourself Indie, the fact is we won the game so there are no negatives to take from it, just like when we get beat people won't be able the point out the possitive side of the performance as we simply 'Lost'

Pathetic :icon_roll

I think Rab C Neilson needs a mention.

He played really well, for saying he had not one ounce of defence in front og him on the right hand side due to our bizzare shape he did a cracking job.

Hope it gives him a boost.

They reckon it's a sign of a good team to be able to play badly and still win! ... That being the case, we should be an absolutlely cracking team.

(Actually, I think we are, just don't tell anyone I said so ... I'll never be forgiven).

That really is a good post.People forget that our full backs get left exposed so much due to our wingers not being wingers!

People seem to be taking some of the more critical posts out of all proportion.

I think we have a great side, easily one of the strongest, and this talk of 'we are punching above our weight' is the real negative stuff.

The problem is I don't think the formation or starting 11 is giving us the greatest chance and certainly not the greatest performances. The potential is certainly there, and In one way or another we are actually showing it, in other ways we sadly struggle.

I will take any 3 points in any way, I still reserve the right to point out and discuss the various negative points that I think need to be addressed to make us better, surely that is why we are all on here?

We won
McGivern was utter shite
King went missing again
But we actually won
Neilson left exposed for the whole ninety minutes with no one in front of him at any stage during the game. Ridiculous
Berner in on Friday and a right sided winger - and I don't care who it is just anybody and not feckin' Oakley who should be in centre mid alongside Wellens where he feckin' belongs
We did go there and win, you know
Can't play Fryatt and Waghorn together because it just didn't work, so a change needed there, and it's all hunky dory again
Oh yes, and we won and could go joint top on Friday night - an incredible achievement by any measure

Waghorn goal just before half time.

My take on seeing the team for the first time this season;

First half, what more can be said. Appalling. Reading spread the play well and were pretty good, if they had a decent striker we could have been 4-0 down before we scored. Defencively McGivern was appalling. Anyone who says anything different was watching a different game.

Second half more even, but still not good. Too much of a gap between the back line and midfield which allowed Reading to come at us in waves. Distribution out of the back again appalling, McGivern again a culprit.

Humping it down the line into the channels was ineffective as we had no wingers to speak of. The hump up the middle was equally ineffective and the ball just came straight back at us.

Attacking w*s* i think we held the ball quite well but too much one dimensional play.

Thank f**k they are shit in front of goal.

We need to play out and out wingers who can cross the ball into whoever is playing up front. Without this we are too narrow. Campbell does not look interested imho, and goes missing for periods. Can someone please explain the offside rule to him, maybe in brail as the dumb f****r is clearly blind.

Overall a good 3 points but dross to watch and for £26.50 on the door poor value for money.

Never, ever compare us with those tossers! We are not scousers and nowhere near to being so......FFS!

Innocent doesn't do that. She simply identifies herself as a scouser. Though why she thinks we should take any notice of a scouser, she doesn't say.

I agree with everything you said apart from the DJ comment. I thought he tried hard and chased the ball down several times, as well as tracking back to help out the midfield. He hardly had a sniff of goal but when he did he managed to get a couple of corners which took the pressure of our defence.

As for the offsides two of them could easily have gone the other way and Fryatt/Waghorn were offside just as many times if not more.

Dont get me wrong he could have played better, but he wasnt terrible and played just as well as Howard did.

I just cannot understand the team selection. What does Adams have to do to get on the bench, even? I was working, so didn't get to watch the game so If my comments are uninformed, then please give me a bit of a break.

I know we're playing a more attacking game now, but do we really need 7 attackers (if you count N'Guessan) in the 18-man squad?

I understand we have a bigger squad now, with Adams and Dyer waiting in the wings, and Tunchev and Clemence still to return, as well as the possible impending arrival of Mr Davids. But to sacrifice playing a more balanced team for the sake of playing three central Midfielders and a striker in a 4-man midfield to make sure they get a game, seems silly.

I'm not having a go at Big Nige, because at the end of the day, look at our position in the table, so he muct be doing something right, and its always easy to comment from the comfort of my sofa. But, I just can't understand why we have a squad with no out-and-out wingers.

We scored so many goals last season either directly from the wingers, or by the service they provided. But now we've just totally changed the way we play.

If we go into the transfer market in January, I believe we need to go for a winger, and a full-back. It would seem that the management believe that Adams and Dyer aren't suited at this level, so we need to get someone in who is. If we start to create some goals from the wings, maybe we could actually start to look like a team capable of challenging for this league, instead of a team that seems to be doing well on paper, but not really producing much on the pitch.
