The fans can play a big part in the remaining games as some very shit teams (Forest & Everton) have very good home records, which of course is not solely down to the fans, but they do play a huge part in making it an uncomfortable place for visiting teams to come, and also providing their team with that extra bit of support/encouragement that could make the difference - Palace have been shit for years but they have excellent home support.

I'm sure most will come back and say the support is a reflection of what is witnessed on the pitch, which i can completely understand, but there are teams that are much shitter than us than still have much better support than us.

Any team visiting us knows just to make it difficult to begin with and the crowd will get on the players backs after a few misplaced passes which makes it a bad environment for us to play in - players get nervous etc.

Again, I'm sure most will say they get paid enough to be better than that and not get nervous etc but they are humans too and it is impossible to block out emotions.

Of course it won't be the fans fault if we go down, but the fans can play a big part in us avoiding relegation, especially when it comes to our home games.

Agree with all of this. The bit about misplaced passes.....I'm sure the mood wouldn't be as toxic if we didn't invite such pressure by getting duffers to pass along our 18 yard box. Opposing managers must love knowing that quickly closing down shithouses like Amartey ot Faes will give them 4/5 goalscoring opportunities each game.

I know that feeling but am more inclined to blame the boss. I can almost see Amartey come to a standstill whilst he thinks 'what did the gaffa tell me to do'
Another player who needs someone next to him shouting at him. Nothing wrong with that - if Souttar is able to do that maybe Amartey is a perfectly logical choice.

Remember Wes Morgan after Huth joined? Different player entirely.

Support the players during the game but get into the useless bastard at the end

I know this forum loves data and shit, but here's our run in based on opposition.

Forest and Everton hopefully in trouble. We'll be fine...

I'm not sure Palace will find it quite such an easy run in now that they've employed an ancient woodland night bird with a passion for painted figurines as their leader,.

What a complete load of bollocks. We just lost to the team that was bottom of the league. None of our remaining games are easy.

(No offence Fryatt)

So you're completely agnostic on the strength and league position of our opposition?

Agnostic, No! I’m firmly in the “There is no God” camp. But I respect others who think differently.

As for that table, games aren’t won on league position. As our trip to St Mary’s proved.

I'm not really sure what your point is.

Nothing is guaranteed. But for the vast majority of teams, matches against lower opposition will statistically generate more points than against higher opposition.
