I think, given the perceived state of the club, we have to be realistic.

I very much doubt Potter would make the move. His next job is a big one, possibly even the England role.

Cooper has been heavily backed and will want to finish what he’s started. He also won’t want to damage his reputation at Forest coming to us.

Hassenhuttl is probably gettable, but could see Saints digging their heels in.

We have to look at managers currently available, or looking to the championship for an up and comer.

My top requirements: organized and an utter bastard with experience keeping a club in the top flight. Benitez and Dyche stand out.

Claude’s available…..

Dyche has always wound me up. So I hate to say it, but I think given our current malaise he would be a very sensible replacement.

What about Parker from Bournemouth? Taken them as far as he can and has a good reputation.
Can’t see him suffering any fools.

Still unproven at this level for me. In our current state I don’t think we should be looking at him.

As I’ve said elsewhere, Cooper, Frank and Potter would be massive improvements. But it says a lot about the current state of our club that the managers of Forest, Brentford and Brighton wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole.

We could get Hassenhuttl or Dyche. That’s as exciting as it gets I’m afraid.

We’re ****ed.
