From a Scottish friend (albeit a Hibs fan)

"Think Maybury with a bus pass"

Happy days..........

I think it's total horse shit to be fair, no player on Earth is worse than that inept fecker.

Looks as if he may prove to be a good signing, but I'll reserve judjement until I've seen him play a few games.

That's far to sensible. We've signed the best right back in the SPL! I predict that because of this one signing that we're going to walk the championship next season, then the Premiership title, and within 3 years we'll have won the champions league, be the richest club in the world and then take over the government of a small European country - maybe Bulgaria.

I've asked elsewhere and here's the replies.

''And he's not very good either''
Gers fan

er, not much to say. being generous, i'd say he's an honest, hard working defender. don't expect any frills though! likes a long throw, my mate describes him as 'the Scottish Rory Delap'... i won't tell you what my dad calls him
Jambo fan

If we all believed the theory of asking people what they think, you will always get a difference of opinion.

I think Ronaldo is a ****, but he's a quality player. The majority of people though who think he's a ****, won't admit he's a exceptional talent.

Neilson will be in a completely different team, so who knows what he'l be like.

Lads and lasses,

Hearts supporter here. I don't want to come on here and dampen your enthusiasm but having read some comments from people who have spoken to hibs fans (spit!) and huns (spit!) I thought i'd better give you a more accurate picture of Robbieinho.

Firstly, he is a hard worker and always gives 110%, a model pro if you like. Also, he is a decent defender with decent positional sense and uses his body well to show the opposition players where he wants them to go. HOWEVER, he's not very fast in fact he's positively pedestrian so don't expect any lung bursting overlaps or quick bursts up your right hand flank (a friend of mine nicknamed him 'breakdown' because every time we'd go on a break the ball would get to him and.....yes you guessed it the move would breakdown).

He's not brilliant technically, sometimes his first touch leaves a bit to be desired and he's not a particularly great crosser of the ball. He does however have a very good throw which he can launch straight in to the middle of the box. Good if you have someone to aim for, pointless if you don't.

More worrying for you lot i guess is that if you asked the Hearts fans who was the better player for us Neilson or Maybury i'd reckon 90% of fans would say Maybury.

To conclude: Solid, hard working, decent defender with a long throw but weak tehnically and crap going forward.

cheers macca, i like the first part highlighted :081: as for the 2nd...:icon_cry::icon_cry: just hope youre wrong :icon_wink good luck for next season

Id be worried if Maybury kept him out of the Hearts team, but i believe they shoved AM to left back

Before Maybury got shifted to LB he was our first choice RB in front of Neilson. It wasn't until Stephane Mahe retired that Maybry got shifted there because the LB Levein bought to replace Mahe was Jamie McCallister (now at Bristol City) who was dreadful. Kisnorbo also filled in at LB. Basically, if Levein had brought in a decent LB Maybury would have kept Neilson out of the team up until the point where he left to join you guys.

Robbieinho did however give us one of our best Euro moments scoring away in Basel :icon_bigg

Levein, Maybury, De Vires

it's the ghosts of shit seasons past

Neilson Signs Pre-Contract Agreement
Posted on: Fri 22 May 2009

Leicester City Football Club have signed Scottish international full-back, Robbie Neilson, from SPL side Heart of Midlothian. The defender brings a wealth of experience with him to the Walkers Stadium having made his debut for the Edinburgh side in 1996.

Leicester City manager, Nigel Pearson, believes that Neilson will have an integral part to play in the Foxes return to the Coca-Cola Championship.

"We are absolutely delighted to have secured Robbie for the football club. He will bring quality, experience and a winning mentality, all of which we have no doubt will enhance our squad for the season ahead."

The 28-year old former captain of Hearts played a key role in their 2006 Scottish FA Cup victory and these strengths have not gone unnoticed by Pearson and his backroom staff.

"On meeting with Robbie, his leadership qualities were obvious. I am also keen to highlight that we are continuing our policy of only signing players who genuinely want to play for Leicester City Football Club and Robbie certainly fits that criteria."

Neilson has signed a pre-contract agreement committing himself to the Foxes for three years and will join up with the Leicester City squad when pre-season training begins in July.

A dig at Cox me thinks ??

Hush, hush. :icon_wink

If he's not in England atleast the little shit can't score against us and rub our noses in it, as i'm sure he would if he were to join WBA.
