Unfortunatly I do yes, Usually one a week down the local seeing as it's where all the Celtic fans (a few are good mates) go in my area.

We have signed a few of your so called better players over the last few years and I can asure you that all have been way way below what is an acceptable level for the Championship. If I remember rightly De Vries grabbed four goals in a game for you, the quality of football required for him to achieve such a miracle is nothing short of terrible for a Countries top league.

What It says about us s that we have over estimated the quality of the SPL at times, something I wont be doing in the near future, if it turns out that he is worse than Maybury then Pearson has made his first shocking signing since his arrival at the club. As for a club like Hearts progressing, I don't think that's possible after finishing 3rd


Of course it's all about opinions, and the above is simply a snipet of mine on the quality of the SPL.

Of course it's all about opinions, the world would be boring if we all had the same opinion.

I assume you saw the Hearts-Celtic game not that long ago where we conceded in 20 seconds and dominated them thereafter up until the last 10 minutes? If you did, you'd clearly see we're not a BAD side, inconsistent yes, but not bad.

It depends who told you those players were the better ones. Hamill was never one of our better players but i believe he had potential. Maybury was the best RB at the club at the time and the best we'd had for a number of years. A fit MDV was outstanding for us, an unfit MDV was hopeless. His 4 goals came against a truly dreadful hibs team in an Edinburgh derby. Ironically, the one player you signed off us who wasn't always a regular starter was Kisnorbo who, from what i can gather, has actually done ok. Therein lies the inconsistencies in football. 2 players we considered very good didn't cut at Leicester while 1 player who hadn't really done much at Hearts did.

There are plenty of good players up here but you have to make sure you sign the right ones. For example, someone I consider no better than an average SPL player like Barry Nicholson has had a cracking season at PNE at the top of the championship. But there will be better players than him who leave the SPL and go down south and don't cut it.

With regards to progress, closing the points gap would be a start, winning a cup or a nice we run in the Europa League would do. Given that we finished 8th last season our wonderful manager has done a marvelous job. If he can ship out the duds and bring in some decent players we can only go one way.

No, it's referring to a comment I made last week. I rated him to an extent and thought he was alright but didn't have the physique for an often scrappy, in your face encounter you find in the Championship. Against Spurs and Charlton in the cup with more time and space he had a couple of stormers (in fact MDV looked like a Black Dennis Bergkamp at The Valley - which led to my Dad heralding him as the next big thing). I think he's alright, a lot of others would disagree. If Broadfoot and Whittaker are Gers standard, then he's easy that level.

I can't help but think 'Spearman' while reading that though. A player that was consistently slated here - yet will be playing the premiership next season.
