Considering none of them have played at Championship level (except Hobbs when he was on loan at scunny, and if he had set the world alight that season he wouldn't have joined us) thats a bit of a presumptuous and bordering on arrogant statement to make

Don't get me wrong i think all three are good enough for the Championship, but theres no foundation to make such outlandish claims yet

Outlandish Sir?! You mark my words, I am never ever wrong!

I'd say he was an ok player - bit too light weight to be honest. If we go down the list of half or quarter decent players we've signed from Scottish clubs, I would include Bobby Roberts ahead of Goodfellow.

Can't believe Gary Mac and Ally Mauchlen haven't been mentioned

On the subject of crap signings from Hearts to Leicester the above reminded me of one from Leicester to Hearts. If i remember correctly, we signed Ally Mauchlan from your good selfs. He was crap :icon_bigg

Celtic v Hearts on setanta 2. just watched one of RN's throw ins, bloody awesome.
Prior to possibly Oakley, last person I remember with a decent throw for City was Richard Smith.

Just a shame he can't dribble, pass, control or cross very well :icon_wink

That said, he did defend well today :038:

in reference to his throws, are we talking delap like throws or just pretty long, obviously its not the most important thing when signing a right back i'd just like to know how much of a weapon it might be...

The throw I saw was certainly that, just beyond the penalty spot, towards the six yard box, caused a lot of confusion in the Celtic box.
Imagine what it could do in a Geordie box, did you know they're still relegated ?(hehe;))

It'll be interesting to see someone with a long throw next year especially seeings as we have a great target man in Howard to aim for.

Yes a long throw can be very effective but i'd much rather we tought our wingers how to cross a ball properly from open play......

I'm sure Sid Waddell will be having sleepless nights and palpitations at the very thought of it....
