I really hope that this quote was part of a larger, more positive response to the question.
If it was another distancing of himself from the actions of the players then I'd like to see the club explore the possibility of putting him on gardening leave until his contract expires. Sadly I'm experiencing the 'demon effect' with regards to Brendan Rodgers.
