Strange women lying on their backs in ponds handing out swords ... that's no basis for a system of government.
Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

The Holy Grail :icon_razz ;)

This guy is being 'tracked' by Everton according to todays Press

From another forum. :icon_razz ;)

This has already been mentioned, Southampton and a number of premier league clubs including Everton are looking at signing him, not to mention the fact he currently has a broken ankle.

I know we have been 'linked' with him..

...Preston boss Billy Davies is keen to land Celtic midfielder Stephen Pearson...

Wednesday offered 750k for Tyson, I imagine they're offering about the same amount for Boyd. Do we have that much money to spend in January? I doubt it. Is Levein actually interested in Boyd? If he was desperate to get him surely he'd have made a move in the summer...

Boyd is not too keen on Sheff Wed it would seem. :icon_wink ;)

Boyd to wait for the right offer

Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd will not be rushed into a decision on his future, according to his agent.

The Rugby Park club have accepted an offer for the player from Sheffield Wednesday, but Rangers are still considered favourites to sign him.

The SPL champions have not made a bid and Boyd's agent Raymond Sparkes says Rangers are yet to speak to him.

"We are allowed to speak to clubs directly in January, but we want to wait and see what happens," he added.

"There are still a number of days until the transfer window opens and we will then have another month in which it will remain open.

"We will continue to wait unless Real Madrid come in for Kris and put a zillion pounds on his wages - in which case he would be in Madrid tomorrow morning.

"But we are in no rush to go anywhere else. Rangers have not spoken to me, but I am sure they are one of many looking at him.

"They should be completely aware we are taking our time. Alex McLeish might feel he has to react quickly to stop Kris going somewhere else.

"But there is plenty of time. Unless we get a remarkable offer, then it is in everybody's best interests to sit and wait. I cannot see this issue being resolved that quickly."

Kilmarnock have accepted a bid from Sheffield Wednesday for striker Kris Boyd, BBC Scotland understands.

After watching Boyd net his 17th goal of the season, Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies revealed the 22-year-old could be on his way to England.

Jefferies said: "We've had a very good offer from a Championship side, a big offer and the offer was accepted.

"I've never had an offer from Rangers. Maybe the chairman knows something I don't know but he keeps me up-to-date."

Boyd is out of contract in the summer and the Ayrshire side would rather cash in on their star asset when the January transfer window opens than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

Rangers have been strongly linked with the player, who is a self-confessed fan of the Ibrox club.

And Sheffield Wednesday, who are managed by Scot Paul Sturrock, may not be such an attractive option since they are struggling at the wrong end of the table.

"It will be a great offer for the club but it has to suit Kris Boyd. You can't force people to go," added Jefferies.

"We accepted an offer from Cardiff just before the season got under way and he didn't go there and this is a bigger offer than that."

Boyd for Rangers

I am aware of him being the subject of other threads, but it seems all links with him as far as we are oncerned are finished. Rangers have agreed a £500,000fee and are discussing personal terms.
