Grr. Damn you all. I left at 6, happy in the knowledge that Birch was staying, it never crossed my mind that the club could just be pulling the Trust's strings :icon_evil

I am sorry but no smoke without fire, are the club using the trust as a vehicle to hide behind or using them to backtrack a piece ofclub news that wasnt planned for the public domain at this point.

Whatever the outcome it is yet again another embarrasing episode for the club, when will they ever learn.

It was a very short response, and bearing in mind the severity of todays allegations / rumour it surely merited more than that from the Trust. I may be wrong but is that not the same response the Trust gave around the time of the Connolly sale ?

Please answer me the following questions and please do so without the use of the clubs political spin ?

1) Was Alan Birchenall made / or informed of the clubs intention to make him redundant ?

2) Following the 'unfortunate' leaking of said incident, have the club been forced to make an embarrassing u - turn, thus explaining the silence from the corridors of power today ?

3) When will there be an official statement to clarify this situation ?

4) Are the Trust happy with the Clubs handling of todays events ? If not why ?

Please as stated above do not fob us off with club spin, answer the questions, as our supposed fans voice, thank you.

We can't answer questions if we don't know the answers ourselves can we!

All we can say is we questioned the rumoured departures & were told Birch going wasn't true. It was a very brief conversation.

The club didn't post the initial story, it would be interesting to know the sources of the story & the motivation behind its contents, fact (subsequently reversed) or mischief making by unhappy employee? - we can only guess & hence can't answer.

As a Trust network we are unhappy with censorship from clubs on message boards, this is not a specific point to today's events, but has been something encountered by many fans message boards including some ran on other Trusts own websites

With this in mind we have requested information from all moderators of LCFC fans message board about the actions of the club today.

I can understand the libel issues, but surely they should just ask to delete the said parts and not the whole thing. They must remember these are not official sites and are the voices of the fans themselves

No need for the sarcastic tone in your response, I was merely asking for answers, as the body that represents the fans and is close to the board, I assumed the Trust would have made it their business to find out the facts behind todays events.

It wasn't meant as sarcastic, sometimes posters expect us to have all the answers, we try our best but can't always get the information we want or be in a position to be able to reveal it

I am very disappointed by todays events, if the rumours are not true then why has the club allowed it to escalate to this extent, and then when the Trust are asked to provide answers to some pretty straight forward questions, all they can provide is sarcasm and yet more club spin, the club is further removed from its fans more now than ever, and if today is anything to go by, the club views it's fans with nothing but contempt.

It is supposedly 'our club' and yet they are happy to sit back and censor or place legal threats at the fans websites, official or unofficial, instead of making a public statement that would put an end to the speculation, if the Trust are to be believed.

Today has been a PR disaster and an embarrasment to the club, its management and the Trust, it is nothing short of amatuerish.

We are going to review the information the moderators supply to us (assuming they are willing) & then decide on a course of action dependant on the line taken by the club.

Our intention is to discuss it with the club, using references to previous incidents at other clubs & advising them of best practice.
