Seeing our support was 2,151 of a total crowd of 6,528, which is nearly a third, I would imagine thats the highest proportion of away fans to home fans since last season -probably the Peterborough game

I saw the celebration a couple of times and never once connected it to the disaster in Japan. It is a fairly obtuse link in my opinion.
If anything, it's more likely connected to the fact that the Scunthorpe pitch has been likened to a beach.
