I think Fryatt is ok and given time he may work up an understanding with Howard. The biggest let down for me has been DJ Campbell

How did Howard and Oakley do yesterday?

I think yesterday was just what they needed - a nervy start, a good goal, and a steady improvement through the second half. 3 points in the bag hopefully allowing them to relax a bit without getting over-confident.

And maybe they will learn the lesson of the second half - keep the ball down and someone might be able to get hold of it.

Very well IMO.

Seemed to link up together at times with some neat passing on the floor.

Howard won most headers without really getting a clear cut chance on goal, whilst Oakley had one of his better games for City after an unnoticable performance against Hull last week.

According to reports Sheff Weds may face some sort of action for including 6 loan players in their squad for yesterdays match.
How many did we have?

Totally agree, DJ has been an extremely poor £2m spent IMO.

I thought he was starting to look good before his injury, was linking up well with John. But since he came back he has looked completely light weight, brushed off the ball way to easily. Hopefully it is just because he is still carrying the thigh injury

DJ and Fryatt have both been very dissappointing but I rate DJ as the better player.

I'm afraid I can't really see why we bother with Fryatt. Other than being a neat and tidy player outside the box he doesn't really bring us much - no goals, no pace, no aerial threat - he's just not the "fox in the box" we were hoping for (although neither is DJ it seems...)

I can see DJ and Fryatt both leaving in the summer, after last season with brum i thought Dj would have done really well here but he has not really impressed at all, DesertFox i agree with you on Fryatt i dont know why so many people love him he is really usless, he has a great start to his leicester city career but he has been missing the easy chances,

i would like to start next season with Howard, Hume and Hayles and bring in two more decent strikers of course if that depends on which league we are in, if it is League one then DJ and Fryatt can stay upfront

He's waiting till the summer for an operation. He's still injured and I reckon he's been ok this latter part of the season but poorly serviced by the midfield.

This season far too many players play in patches - even in 90 minutes of Saturday - Oakley went from shit to doing naff all to good to average to naff all.

Fryatt played well in the last 10 minutes, the rest of the time pointless. Hangs on to the ball way too long when we're moving forward. Kisnorbo had a shocker and Hendo is too hesitant behind the defence. Howard or Hendrie man of the match. Bell had a great game once over his nerves. Felt a bit sorry for Weslowski and Oakley at times in the first half as the ball was spending too much time in the air. Clemence looked a touch of class for two minutes and left.

Did anybody count how many MEANINGFUL shots Scunthorpe had on target? I reckon none.

It was lacklustre - there was feck all fight and no bollocks. No tempo. Stearman's tackle was easy and he had no reason to go wih the slide. Mattock's was a beauty. The goal was the only time more than 5 passes were put together. If it was Bolton v Wigan, you'd of turned off the telly. Scuthorpe had more than enough opportunites to take the lead but they didn't get em on target.

You think so ? I don't think it's heart in it and he doesn't want to be here IMO.I expect and hope that he goes in the Summer
