Why dont they just reduce the price of the fecking ST in the first place and maybe, just maybe, more people might buy them
I got five cheap tickets for 5 people who are all ex season tickets holders. The reason that they don't attend anymore is they didn't feel it was value for money. No doubt the £5 ticket is appealing and will fill the ground, but they won't come back until the quality improves. I would imagine that 99% of the crowd will be there as a part time supporter on a cheap ticket.
.....and if they even speak English... at Juve its hit and miss, miss mainly though and sign language takes over along with talking slowly and loud ( as if that makes them understand :icon_bigg )

and why would they want me to talk Dutch in Italy....:icon_bigg
bang on BG
If they set the prices right in the first place, the ground would be fuller and the tickets to sell to non season ticket holders would hold more value and so they would not have to feck about with stupid promotions that annoy ST holders
your right again must stop this people will talk
"For the kingdom of Leicester is like a football club which went out early in the pre-season to sell season tickets for the games. After agreeing with the supporters a price for the ticket, he let them into the ground to see the games.
And going out about the third match he saw that there were huge gaps in the stands; and went out and gave some idle men some cheap tickets. So the idle men went to the match. Going out again about the sixth game and the ninth game, he noticed that the ground still wasn't full. And about the eleventh game he went out and found people in the town who had never been to a match, `Why do you not come to the match?', he said to them. They said to him, `Because no one has sold us any tickets.' He said to them, `You go into the stadium too - here are some free tickets.'
And when Christmas came, the owner of the football club heard the season ticket holders grumbling, saying, `These people are getting a better deal than us - and it is us who are the loyal ones.' But he replied to one of them, `Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me the price for your ticket? I choose to give to these other people tickets at cheaper prices and to some of them, I give the tickets free. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?'
So the last will be first, and the first last."
"For the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the market place; and to them he said, `You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing; and he said to them, `Why do you stand here idle all day?' They said to him, `Because no one has hired us.' He said to them, `You go into the vineyard too.'
And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, `Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.' And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. 1Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius. And on receiving it they grumbled at the householder, saying, `These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.' But he replied to one of them, `Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what belongs to you, and go; I choose to give to this last as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?'
So the last will be first, and the first last."
Just to be contrary here, I happen to think my season ticket is good value, and compared to many other Championship teams is not expensive. I don't envy the club as they have a difficult balancing act to do, and whatever they do somebody will not be happy.
you RS never :icon_lol:
First time this year, I believe......:icon_redf . Shouldn't tell porkies....
But you're comparing our tickets to other clubs, that's not the issue. It's other tickets for the same match in the same stadium that is the issue.Just to be contrary here, I happen to think my season ticket is good value, and compared to many other Championship teams is not expensive. Funny you should mention that Boc, I was referring to something like that. I'm also referring to fan (a), sat next to fan (b), both having paid different pricesDo you mean like when Barnsley fans have to pay more than Leicester fans?

the club really made a big mistake setting ST prices so high IMO. i certainly raised it with friends (if not on here, i cant remember) that if we struggled this year we'd have serious problems getting non-ST holders in, as the club had given lots of propaganda out as to how much better you were to buy a ST, and buying individual tickets to a match would be seen as crap value for money. now it seems that by having special promotions (which are a necessary way for the club to increase attendance at the moment) they are rubbing ST holders up the wrong way. not a particularly clever way to run things. i'm sure some people at the club think that the fans don't have too much between their ears, but i would suggest that the business plan for this year may not have been sound and at least some fans realise this.
isn't this something the FT should be raising on behalf of the LCFC faithful?
the cost for a non-early-bird ST should still be considerably cheaper than buying individual match tickets. this should be included in the analysis.
other things that tick me off:
i) one year cycle for the home shirt. this is an absolute disgrace IMO and i can't believe the FT haven't made this more of a big issue. i know it's a free market and all, and if i don't want the shirt then i don't have to buy it. However, i like to have the shirt but i don't like to feel fleeced. This pisses loyal fans off and is not a good way to run a club in the long term.
ii) how come it costs more to join the FT if you're an international (like me) than a non-international? 15 quid international vs 10 quid adult UK resident. all FT correspondence can be sent by e-mail can't it? i joined in our time of need and now don't bother keeping up membership out of principle for this rather strange pricing issue. how much stuff does the FT snail mail? It would have to be 4 times or more a year to justify the price difference.
rant over...
