The attitude and energy was much better than recent games, though we lacked creativity and quality at times.

Despite his assist I thought Madison had a stinker.

Perez was the best player in the first half, driving us forward.

Mendy and Tielemans were good.
I thought Albrighton was far better you could see Sheffield Utd double banking him immediately.

We must not ignore the massive warning signs. Rodgers needs to stop over complicating.

If anything, BR is under complicating. He's doing the exact opposite of what you are accusing him of. He's not changing formations all over the place or making random changes. The line up and formation today was totally predictable and simple for the players to follow.

BR will not be enjoying this. It's not his style at all but he's doing what is best for the club. That's a managers job sometimes.

Have to take the positives:

3 points
Perez back on form is good news
Wilf back
Evans looked like his old self
Youri continues to have an excellent season

We are a streaky and fragile team, a late winner could really kick us on now.

There’s a lot wrong too, but we just needed the result.

Oooya bugger. Big result.
Indeed. A win we needed, even if it was mostly poor against a mostly poor side.

We've got problems, I think that's evident, so I hope this result is the start of a regaining of form and confidence. But we really need to learn how to defend set pieces. It's currently beyond a joke.

Maddison needs to stop taking set peices all of them! Nacho is mental I mean can he actually play football how do you air kick a ball infront of you? we are still not moving the ball quick enough however a win is a win, the sooner we get Catagne and Ricardo back the better.
At least until he is better at them. He might have a look of Beckham about him, but he has a way to go with the dead ball before the tribute act is complete.

We are absolute dog shite -the manager hasn’t got a fecking clue - all of our players are shit (except when they do something good) and if we aren’t relegated by Christmas there’s something wrong.

Oh wait a second - we’re second in the league - one point off the top! Happy days!

I just think he over thinks. His formations are random. The point I am making is they don’t need to be. Sheffield United have one point for a reason. We don’t need to do elaborate things. Attack them.

Either BR has coached them not to pass the ball quickly or the players are ignoring him or the players are not good enough to play his system, if that is the case he needs to move people on. If Vardy gets injured we are doomed.

It is all about needs must at the minute. It was inevitable that the loss of Soyuncu, Ricardo, Ndidi and Castagne would catch up with is at some point and it absolutely has the last few games. I can absolutely defend Rodgers based on this.

I can't even begin to defend the subbing of Perez for Iheanacho and the fielding of two defensive lineups against two of the worst teams in the league.

Can we please put to bed any notion of Iheanacho being a footballer now? He really, really, really isn't one.

We've had injuries that, in any other season would have seen us struggling to pick up a point anywhere; we've got through our Europa group and we're third.

Definitely rubbish: we're not top by, at least six points AND we've lost a game in Europe. Rodgers out!

When we get Pereira and Castagne back it will transform us.

Yep.

We have two points less after 11 games than we had last season - with no real injuries, a settled side and no Europe.

Big let off. The three points hasn’t got a sausage to do with that ****ing formation or the tactics but it was a great bit of play for the winner. Can’t believe our Jamie is STILL scoring goals like that in the 90th minute.

Had a tenner on the win and Vardy to score too so I may have gone a little bit mental when that went in.
Ooh that’s a nice combo, I had a double on McBurnie and Perez scoring

Completely agree. Castagne and Pereira are the key. Frees Justin up to be a really useful sub in 3 positions. Means we can fire passes out left and right with confidence and also we will see a lot more 1 - 2s using maddison and tielemans to open sides up.
Soyuncu and Will massively improve us in both boxes as well.
