Peter Gilbert came on sub at half-time for Orient in their annihilation of Newcastle on Saturday.

I'm not sure if this "Starting Line-up" was meant to be for the 1st game against Swansea or what Pearson deems to be his first XI.

I don't think Pearson has a first XI but has a core of 7-8 players who he will pick more or less every game unless such player is injured or out of form or through suspension. Which is more or less what he did last season. Some players like Dyer were in such group for some time - too long in the end and he was moved out but just about got himself back in the group in the last few games.Gradel on the other hand worked his way into this group after a long time on the sidelines.
So I'll go for this team for the 1st game against Swansea:-

4-5-1 with Gradel or N'Guessan and Dyer moving in from the wings as the needs arise and Oakley and King joining up with Howard by playing the ball on the floor playing 1-2's etc

Weale

Morrison
Hobbs
Brown
Mattock

N'Guessan or Gradel
Oakley
Wellens
King
Dyer

Howard or New striker

Subs
Logan
Tunchev
Gradel or N'Guessan
O'Neal
New striker or Howard
Other new striker or Dickov
Powell

Going to be a little fecked if Fryatt's injury doesn't clear up.Just emphasises the need for another Striker

I can't see Tunchev starting on the bench instead of Brown.

He has been out for a long time though, I think NP will start off with Brown and Hobbs and ease Tunchev in.

Ease Tunchev in hey, he must be a lot bigger than Brown and Hobbs.

well i would start this team on sunday in the last pre-season game before the season starts:

-------------------------Chris Weale---------------------------

------Michael Morrison --Wayne Brown--Jack Hobbs -- Joe Mattock

------Nicky Adams -- Matt Oakley -- Richie Wellens -- Lloyd Dyer

------------------Steve Howard -- Dany N'Guessan

Don't think Tunchev is match fit to start, also Neilson is suspended for the first two games,

Nicky Adams has done well in pre-season so he deserves at least a shot at the first team and Gradel can't cross for shit!

I would put Wayne Brown in for the first game he wasnt pretty last nite but effective. In fact the whole defence looked very solid. Second half I dont think Weale had a save to make and Logan 1st half saved the odd ones that got through and was big (not too difficult for Pieman) when he needed to be for the one on one. Whereas in a similar position second half N'Guessan scored.
