The binary discussion is in full flow again, I see.
I'm not sure what you mean I said he's mopre then fine, which he is, he isn't our biggest weapon but neither is he our biggest weakness, he is a promising young player with loads of potential and a lot to learn, he improved massively last season and will continue to do so
Chilwell has a lot to learn but saying he was garbage the vast majority of the the time seems beyond harsh.

He's young. He's got a lot to learn. He's not a world beater but he's not awful either.
this is my point, far too many want to right young players off unless the come through as generational good talents that are world beaters straight away

I haven't seen a single post anywhere on this forum that you could possibly have interpreted as someone wanting to write off young talent. This is made up horse shit.

I've simply seen some posters saying that one player, Ben Chilwell, is not good enough in any way for us. He isn't. I stand by the opinion that, for the most part, he was garbage last season. For clarification, I'm not suggesting that we bin all of our academy players on the back of this.

Again you’re obsessing about Chilwell specially my point is more general, Leicester fans write off youth teasers and also there are a lot more Leicester fans on the net than on this forum.

Also if you think Chiwell was garbage what the hell did you make of Wes and Simpson who got ripped apart far more than Ben Chilwell did?

See that’s simply not true, people want to blame Chilwell but according to the premier leagues official stats he made 1 mistake that lead to a goal that’s it, One

https://www.premierleague.com/players/13491/Ben-Chilwell/stats

Interesting to compare those with Trippier's, who played more or less the same amount of games.

Conclusion - Chilwell would look a lot more impressive if he was playing for a better team. But I guess you could say that about most full backs, whom modern football seems increasingly to target and isolate. Hope he improves, the defensive and positional parts of his game, particularly.

I think there's reasonable scepticism about the standard of our academy given that the best thing to come out of it in the last ten years is Jeff Schlupp.

Schlupp is a fair premier league footballer. One footed and built entirely around his physical presence, but he’s done alright all things being equal.

If I may I’ll stay on the fence about Chilwell. He’s obviously talented, and prone to the odd bit of stupidity. But I think he’s got a decent chance of making it in the premier league for the foreseeable. Assuming we don’t get ****ing relegated.

I'm obsessing about Chilwell in a conversation that was about Chilwell? In a response to a bunch of stats you posted about Chilwell? Even you must see the irony of that post? Once again, nobody is writing off all of the academy players in one fell swoop. This started as a conversation about one of them who happens to be a bit shit and you have extrapolated from that, the concept that fans must hate youth players. It's deranged mate! I mean, absolutely ****ing wibble of the most ludicrous kind.

What the **** is going on? Ben Chilwell only made one mistake last year, everyone hates our youth players because they're young and Jeff Schlupp is a fair Premier League player?I'm going to The Winchester for a pint until this all blows over.

Our academy is shit, it produces players for the lower leagues and has done for as long as I can remember.

We constantly churn out players who do well at younger ages and then seem to fall off a cliff when they reach adult levels.

Chilwell has actually done better than the vast majority of the shite produced down at Belvoir Drive but **** me he has a lot to learn.

He fits in nicely with the mould of players who look incredible at lower ages but incredibly naive and full of errors at adult level.

I hope he becomes more......can't think of any good products of ours.....than more Harry Panayiotou, Jo Dodoo, Joe Mattock etc etc etc

Ben Chilwell only made one mistake last year

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.

I'm going to The Winchester for a pint until this all blows over.

And while you are there you might like to sort out whether it was Mark Twain or Disraeli who we have to thank for pointing it out.

I know that this has nothing to do with line-ups etc, but it does have something to do with the new season.
During the World Cup, I heard the French sing a song which I think is adaptable and adoptable by City fans.

To the tune of Go West by the Pet Shop Boys

On the left...…..Wilfred N'Didi
On the right...…Wilfred N'Didi
In the middle....Wilfred N'Didi
Up front...……….Jamie Vardy

Any thoughts!!!!!!!!
