Maybe Stearman, stood out in the first half of the season because so many of the squad were under performing, he is certainly the type of player to give 100% week in and week out, and when teams are struggling and not producing these type of players tend to be the ones who stand out.

In the second half of the season, the whole team improved under Kelly, as the performances were full of passion, commitment and energy, this meant that players such as Hume, Fryatt, Kisnorbo etc all came to the fore, also bear in mind Stearman is still only young and this season played significantly more games than most anticipated, this is bound to have taken it's toll both physically and mentally on a youngster with so little previous experience.

I say it was more down to an 18 year old being asked to play not far off 30 (someone correct me on the exact amount!) games in a season.

I still think he's the best home grown talent since Piper, although a poor final 1/3 of the season.

Quite right, circumstances made him play many more games than would have been preferable bearing in mind his age. I just think his batteries ran down at the end of the season. Mentally it must be harder playing in a struggling team rather than a winning one. Hopefully he will have a good rest over the Summer
and will come back physically stronger as well.

I agree,I think that will be his best position, but he's got to bulk up a bit, which will come with time. Until he's done that I'd prefer to keep him at right back.

I think he still needs to fill out a tad though. He is very scrawny. Other than that he is already a class act plus he likes a goal as which makes him a true Leicester defender!!
