OK, I'm lazy. I've been waiting all day for someone else to do this.

Well done to everyone at Leicester City FC

Whilst everyone else in football is cheering Leicester, we have spent the day examining our navels.

Let's instead say well done to all who were involved in the amazing decision to gift Forest their goal. If such were possible, I would be even more proud to be a Leicester supporter today than I usually am.

You are right - we're only happy when we are miserable.;)

it is a relief to have some good press for once so well done everyone.

I wouldn't have said that to the bookies if we'd not won though...would have been asking them to void the bet before the players were off the pitch :icon_lol:

It has been nice having people say complimentary things about the club for once.

I walked into my local earlier this evening, over two hundred miles from the event, and was applauded by those sitting at the 'football supporters' table' at the side of the bar. I enjoyed my moment of reflected glory. Mark my words this has done the reputation of our club a lot of good - soemthing that has been sorely needed after the events of the past few years.

A great gesture indeed. One that will shine as a beacon of purity in an ever increasing smog of bungs, birds and Bentley. Whoever decided to undertake it really doesn't matter, time will show that, as a club, we tried to turn the table to recover the spirit of a sport lost.

With the added benefit that from this point on we can lord it over F****t for the next thousand years! "Yeah, we gave you a headstart and you still lost!! At home. With your old manager. Who you hated!!" Perfect.

I am in California on business at the moment so missed the build-up, the commentary etc, but I felt very proud of that gesture when I read about this morning.

When all said and done and despite the reports of the 'discussions', at the end of the day LCFC is Milan's toy and it would have his final Yes or No.

Considering he is:

a) desperate for good results;
b) desperate for Megson to be winning games;
c) desperate for fans to have something to cheer about,

I thought his gesture which could easily have lost that match for us, will go a long way to restoring some of the enormous amount of the goodwill of the fans that just vanished with the hasty sacking of MA2.

I know some of the cynics on here will just think it was a calculated gamble designed to unsettle F*rest and get the fans back on MM's side.

Personally I am happy to stand up and be counted and applaud MM and say that despite all the tough business decisions, Milan still basically has a passion for football and as F*rest could easily have insisted that we just substituted Clive Clarke, they did the decent thing on the night and MM also did the decent thing last night, despite the 'business' pressures to succeed at all costs.

Agree with you wholeheartedly Diken. Everybody I have spoken to has applauded the gesture which can only reflect well on the club. The sheepshagger at work thought it was hilarious.
