It is very hard to argue against what he says about Sousa and also about Nigel Pearson.

He confirms what I have said many times on here, that NP left because he wanted to despite MM's efforts to keep him. People who continue to say otherwise are delusional.

I remember him saying last season that he wished Nigel Pearson would be our manager forever. Why then would he want to oust him a couple of months later? Please don't say it's because the new owners wanted Sousa instead or I'll laugh at you.

I'm really confused now. Do I boo or cheer on October 16th?

While I am not arguing anything he is saying in this particularly interview (I haven't even listened to it), are there still people who listen to anything Milan says in the media? He is a one-man spinning, lying, PR machine.

Didn't I just read this bollocks in a different thread?

I would like to add, if we do get Sven in, it will be a disaster. What we need is a proper hard nut of a manager who will sort the lads out. We need someone who concentrates on fitness and defence like Pearson did. It might not be pretty, but it will get the job done. Which is what we need at the moment.

I'm not saying Sousa and Sven are crap managers, I am just saying they aren't the right men at the right time. Unfortunately football is a results game, and a complete change of tactics/training brought in by Sousa has been shown to cause problems.

On the other hand Sven Goran Erikkson might be a similar type of manager to Sousa, and now the players have had a bit of time with that kind of manager, it might make a difference. Life is full of contradictions. I for one do not think Erikkson as manager will be a good idea.

Delusional is the right word, but you're pointing it the wrong way.

So, what you're saying is he'll probably be shit but he might be good?

Can't say I'm that surprised by any of this - except I thought it would take a couple of more weeks before they thought it was the right time to give Sousa the push.

Sven was always going to be a likely replacement - given he is a 'name' - and that is what the new owners would want.

Will it work? Who knows. Sven has achieved very good results at club level but this was a fair time ago, apart from his half decent season at Man City.
