Or, MM's mother is seriously ill, in hospital and life has taken over? It could be that in the background work is still be ing done and intentions are still sure, or it could be she passes away and MM decides against the deal. I think we are all getting a bit 'Priority Report' about this issue!!!!

There are a lot of assumptions being made here.

MM has an exclusivity agreement with the Board, so they cannot look at other options unless the deal has collapsed or he gives them permission (if there are any other options).

It could just as easily be a delay by MM as he tries to get his money from Gaydemark (sp?).

We will just have to let the dust settle and see what happens.

Personally I do not think that MM would use his mother being seriously ill as an excuse for this delay unless it was true.

agreed :icon_wink

The proof in the pudding will be if the club suddenly accepts a bid within the next few days for one of the more saleable assets within the squad, if as I anticipate we see the loss of say Stearman, Kisnorbo, Hume or Fryatt then this would be the clearest indication that all is not well on the takeover front.

I don't believe many are of the opinion that the whole mother is ill is a lie, however reading between the lines, it does allow MM time to reflect on the deal, the way it has been conducted, the reasons for the delays and whether he still wishes to pursue his original interest and if he still has the desire or heart to invest in LCFC.

I tell you A-Z this deal will go through, it has just gone too far down the line to fail now.

Absolutely not like that.....it's common for these sort of deals to fail at or near to the last hurdle.
I don't pretend to have the knowledge to know that it won't go through...but all the indications are that it is going out of the window.

Famous last words, but I am certain no players will be leaving the club this month whether the takeover is on or off.

Is it? like where and who with?

The whole idea of a takeover is for the buyer to buy it for as little as he can and the seller to sell for as much as he can. Look at the facts and this club, even in its present state, has a massive amount of potential.

If he didnt want the deal now he has nothing at all to lose by saying "thank you but no thank you", instead of putting up silly little excuses. I would have thought his reputation would have meant more to him than thinking of ways to get out of the deal at the last minute. What has he got to lose by saying I am not interested anymore?

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

Anyway feck this, I'm off back to the safe house, BG has just arrived in pink lycra with cream cakes and is asking if anybody wants a nibble on his cream horn.

Redditch, you have constantly accused the FT of being against this from the start based on their apparant negative attitude towards the deal, yet as far back as I can remember you have beein saying you "don't see it happening", "it's going out of the window", "in the unlikely event of it happening", so how exactly are you any different to the FT?
