Did you see Modest Mouse, Monkey?

No. :icon_sad: I was gutted I missed them, but I promised the missus that i'd take her to see at least one band she wanted to see, and they clashed.

There's a link to their set on my Facebook page, worth a watch ;)

the current mrs mk has her hands full trying to tame the mighty turnip, which she manipulates fantastically

I'm looking at getting a half decent camera on a budget, what do the photographers in the group think of these?

Nikon D3000 and a Nikon 55-200MM F/4-5.6 AF-S VR DX Lens.

http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/nikon-...m-lens-03440765-pdt.html?srcid=867&xtor=AL-78.

Won't let me put a link to the lens up but it's on amazon.

I edited it so it worked, but you were obviously editing it at the same time - this is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-55-20...CX1PBC9XH1TL&s=ge neric&qid=1283797632&sr=1-1

A general rule with lenses according to my recent reading is that the wider the length (55mm - 200mm) then the handier they are because they cover a wider zoom range, but the less sharp they tend to be at either end, with things like vignetting creeping in.
55mm - 200mm should be OK as that isn't too wide a range
