Not lucky any more. :icon_roll

Didn't Adams try 3-5-2 away a couple of times, and Levein was partial to 4-3-3 if we went behind at home (i.e. quite often)?

Disagree, I'm afraid - we badly need some pace up front, as shown at Palace and at Southend ( Hammond caused them problems when he came on ).

Well I didn't see either of those games so you could be right. I've not seen enough of Hammond this season tbh :icon_conf

Why have all these teams got Henderson in goal? I understand that his error on Saturday was a repeat of one he made at Southend. Logan seems competent to me and has more of a future.

Absolutely. Horsefield has never been fast over more than 5 yards, and he's now even slower. To be effective he needs the ball working forward then to his feet from fairlyclose. On Sat he chased the ball a couple of times early on then faded & was easily contained. Hammond's pace could have told, but for some reason as soon as he came on Hume stopped running forward in support & he was left isolated trying to hold the ball up with 2 or 3 defenders on him. If they are going to lump the ball forwards he's the only one able to do anything unless they can put long passes over Porter or Hume into space for them to chase. I think they managed that once on Saturday.

I say Horsfield is a striker who needs service, provide him with some crosses and keep him involved, he'll be okay. He's not one to chase high balls etc. Thats where I see the logic in signing Newton, get a winger whose first objective is to swing the ball across.

One of our major probelms is lumping the ball forward too much, aimless balls, I'd like to see use the wingers as more of a outlet.

play three up front, its only leeds ffs. if we are scared to go out to win games against leeds then kelly should walk the plank at full time tomorrow. fortunately i will miss the game because i do fear the worst
