Elvis maybe ..Stearman? youre having a giraffe.. he is our only current right back and if MA gets him back to normal one of our best players!

stearman has still got a role to play at the walkers. i'd like to see him put a bit of weight on and get in the gym and turn it in to muscle :icon_cool

I am sorry but Stearman is complete wank. If you reckon he is one of our better players then your benchmark for a good player needs to be raised much much higher. For a lad of his age and also a professional footballer he has no feckin stamina whatsoever. He puffs and pants his way through the game and by 60 minutes he is fcuked.

and IF is a big word.

With respect BG, that's a load of bollocks! :)

We have all seen that Stearman is a very good prospect - if you don't agree then you were clearly not paying attention 18 months ago.

He was allowed to drift and loose fitness under Rob Kelly, like everybody else. But in Stearman's case it looks like he needs firm discipline more than most. I think he could benefit more than anybody by having a manager like Allen.

It's very much make or break time for Richard but I expect him to make it. He DOES have the quality - can O'Neill and Keane both be wrong? They've both tried to sign him. But he clearly likes to party too much and has completely lost his focus. If Allen can get his attitude back on track I think he'll be a revelation this season.

If you can't see that then I don't know what you're watching... :icon_eek:

I agree, it sems a long time since Stearman played well - the first game last season against Luton seemed to rid him of any confidence for the rest of the year - but when he first broke into the side the season before he looked to be a decent prospect. He also has an attacking instinct from full back which is key to any side playing 442.

Re: Rumours Thread

From a well known rumours site. ;)

My dad used to work for the foxes trust and still keeps in touch, he has just got off the phone to 'a mate' who says that Billy Sharp is coming to Leicester for £2. 75m and that Leicester will sign a young lad from Chelsea on loan, by the name of ben Sahar! guys!

netherino

LCFC NEWS.

Floribert Ngalula, formerly of Manchester United is set to sign for the foxes on a free transfer. The defensive midfielder is set for a medical at the end of the week and will be Martin Allan's 7th signing of the season.

Sorry about posting the Raul rumour I got a bit Carried away. Would be good for £3m though

I'm glad you finally got round to attitude. I think Stearman's attitude has been far more the cause of his poor performance then anything else. If it had been an injury that had been holding him back, we could probably expect his form to return. Same if it had been a lack of fitness; that could probably be trained back into him. But we're talking about slack attitude here. I have a feeling that Stearman has been drifting too long and that the bullying that seems to be Martin Allen's stock-in-trade might just harden his attitude and make him even less likely to succeed.

Bullying Boc ? After the "smashing lads" management attitude for such a long time, I am actually looking forward to a motivational and never say die approach which just might make players realise that their high wages warrant a professional, hard working and committed effort on behalf of the football club that pays them.

I agree. But what I am saying is that individual players may not respond to the switch (or may respond aversely). I believe that may well be the case with Stearman who I believe to be an inherently lazy sod.

How many times have you actually seem him play? When did you see him play where he gave a damn?
As for MON, remember a bloke called Fenton?

sorry mate you will be proved wrong on this one imo.:icon_wink

If Stearman can't react positively to the new approach then he will never be the supposed fantastic player of the future that has been mooted for a couple of years. The new managers arrival should create an attitude of "I'm going to show you just how competetive I am" from any player out to impress Mr. Allen. If Stearman can't do this then I don't see him ever being the great player we all hoped we had in the ranks.

Oh and maybe the discovery of beer and the charlie big bollocks player attitude along with being allowed to get away with it has led to his drop in fitness and form.

I've just made a slight adjustment there MF...

Thought I'd throw my 2p's worth on the Stearman debate...
My view is that Allen has to play hardball with hiim - far from going easy on him, he should go even harder on him than on the others. Carrying on as before is not an option. This 'hardball' tactic may not work I grant you, but the status quo of 'he's a great prospect give him time' is a definate failure I think because we saw the result last season. 4, maybe 5 players (depends on your point of view), were able to emerge with some credit at the end of the season. Stearman should have been one of them but he most certainly was NOT. He was one of the worst. We cannot carry any passangers this season - especially from players and key positions that we need to rely on.

To be honest, they all sound realistic... but it's probably just someone combining all the other rumours!

I'm expecting 2 signings tomorrow, who will no doubt be shown modelling the new kit to make us buy it

Saw him eating 2 hot dogs at the pre-season at Hinkley, hardly shows a proper diet.

Also he did used to drive directly from the Training sessions to the Casino at least 3 times a week. FACT.
