Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is being linked with a surprise move for Leicester City winger Ricky Sappleton. The 18 year-old Jamaican had trials with several Premiership clubs last season, including Liverpool and Middlesbrough, before winning a deal with the Foxes.
The News of the World says Ferguson is in talks with Leicester about a deal for Sappleton, having already failed with a £500,000 offer. :068:

Leicester City manager Ian Holloway is set to swoop for Plymouth Argyle midfielder David Norris.

The former Argyle boss left Argyle last month to take over at the Walkers Stadium and has been promised funds by Foxes owner Milan Mandaric.
A national newspaper reports that Holloway is set to sign Norris in January in a £1 million transfer, although the livewire midfielder has recently been linked with a £2 million move to Ipswich Town.

Holloway is in the market for wide midfield players and Norris could well top his list and Argyle winger Peter Halmosi could also be a target.

Paul Sturrock paid Bolton Wanderers £25,000 for Norris in 2002 and the Premier League club have a 50% sell-on clause should the Pilgrims' decide to any future transfer.
In August Argyle chairman Paul Stapleton turned down two bids from Southampton for Norris, with the last offer being for £1.2 million.

The 26-year old midfielder has made 235 appearances for the Home Park club and is now enjoying a return to form after a mediocre start to the season.

Pospisil, 27, signed for Hearts from Slovan Liberec for £300,000 in 2005.

The Czech striker spent time on trial at Bristol City in January but returned to Edinburgh after failing to agree personal terms.
