Re: Rumours Thread

which I think is one of the reason they arent playing well. The players with no future have probably been told to find a club or get your agent circulating your name for transfer.

but they will still dip out on the bonus payments if they dont get results, even a draw and they get a payout....

Re: Rumours Thread

If I give my customers a bad service I won't blame them.

If I continue to give my customers poor service week after week, I would never think of blaming them, I would never hask them to accept responsiblity. I would never turn around and say "look, I know you are stupid enough to keep buying my merchandise even though it's inferior quality, but you must take some of the blame for me getting worse, and worse, and worse"

Never

Stop trying to relate football to the real world. Football is like no other business and you know it!

I think Jordan Stewart is a prime example of a player forced out of this club by the fans. He was certainly good enough for this league, but he decided to go because he was constantly walking on eggshells with the crowd, any mistake was met with boo's etc. It made him leave and it lost us a decent player.

Re: Rumours Thread

Booing players doesn't help - full stop.

no it doesnt but seeing them useless feckers not giving their all is hardly going to stop the boo boys is it..if they were giving their best in every single game for every minute then the fans wouldnt boo them :102:

Bollocks, the moment the players turned around said they want to be employees and not assets (Bosman) they lost that fecking privilege

Re: Rumours Thread

Spot on Fox Fan, another is Elvis scoring away from the Walkers, and I know of other players who do not like the prospect of playing at home.....

At some stage you have to accept your lot and also accept that our better performances have come when the fans have been behind the team.

We can all equate it to real life - I wonder how many of us would perform well if every time we made a mistake a load of colleagues all went 'ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh'....? It's nonsense to bring it to that level.

But this lot aren't going to YV,they don't care...sadly its reached the 'Put Up or Shut Up' stage, booing them won't make any difference they don't give a shit as long as they get thier wonga paid to them at the end of the month. This is what you get when you have a weak willed, lily livered Manager

When to do you last see City players go "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" when the other made a mistake :102:

Agreed. Worst ever thing to happen to lower league football, the Bosman. Best thing about that whole situation was that Bosman is now bankrupted and asking fellow footballers for money.

but they will still dip out on the bonus payments if they dont get results, even a draw and they get a payout....

Doesnt bother them with the annual wage they're on.

Melts, you know the point I am making - your analogy is one that means little really. I don't think there are many who can disagree that by booing we don't get the best out of players....

However, there are times when booing is totally justified, in some cases, but in all getting behind the team will provide better results.

Leave the booing to the end I say:102:

Booing an individual player is totally out of order Alex, of that I agree.

But come on FFS, do fans boo the player to cause the poor performances week in week out, or is the booing as a result of the poor performnces week in week out.

A player won't get booed for a bad game, but he will get booed for persistent shiteness and a visual lack of effort.

I also agree that some players are booed easier than others, a prime example is the Hammond/Hume shenanigans. I can guarantee if those two were to swap shirts for a game, and the fans thought Hume was Hammond and vice verca, the guy wearing the Hammond shirt would get berated out of the ground and the guy wearing the Hume shirt would be given a god like reception

But, it starts with the player Alex, not the fans.

I think you're right, but fans are fickle. De Vries got lambasted here, although was our top scorer, while Huuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeee has always got a hero's welcome.

One perception is that Hume is adored, like Sav and Dickov, for running like a maniac and getting stuck in. All well and good, but the booing of Hughes coming off against QPR far outweighed that of both Jarrett and Horsefield who were far far worse IMO.... and the barracking of Hammond has meant he generally performs better away from home....

I am ****ing sick of watching the shit our side dishes up - but this is down to our Manager more than anyone else. At the end of the QPR match I stood waving at RK to **** off. I was absolutely disgusted.

youre not alone alex im sure we all are and we all show our disappointment/disgust in different ways

Re: Rumours Thread

I felt alone at my anger to RK however. Everyone else was singing against the team.

the bucks tops with the manager simple as that...but surely once the players cross that line its up to them to give the fans something to shout about and at least put the effort in :102:
