Re: Rumours Thread

the bucks tops with the manager simple as that...but surely once the players cross that line its up to them to give the fans something to shout about and at least put the effort in :102:

And why wouldn't they? Why has Horsefield gone from looking quality at this level, to utter toilet? Why???

I liken it to cars:

If you drive a Ferrari, Bentley, top Merc etc etc, you'd take them to a specialist when the time is needed to ensure they run at tip top optimum condition.

If however, the top mechanics are all to busy and they haven't got the time nor the need to fit you in, you'll go to a back street mechanic in order to get some car action.

This mechanic won't have clue how to get the best out of your car, he's only good at a patchwork job to get it back on the road again, but you need to keep the Ferrari running otherwise it will be out of touch.

When he's finished, your car will still be a Ferrari, but it will be performing at well below par. If this car keeps going back to the back yard garage, he will eventually completely knacker this Ferrari beyond all reasonable repair.

When the Ferrari dealer is free again, and he needs the business back, he'll take one look at the Ferrari and say "Mmmm, sorry, the last person who had this car has ruined it, it will no longer be able to perform like a Ferrari should, I can't do anything with it"

Soon, this back yard mechanic won't be able to attract any Ferraris at all, in fact, the Bentleys will even turn this mechanic down, and then the Mercs will turn this mechanic down through his reputation alone. This mechanic will be meddling in has been cars for the rest of his career, if indeed it continues.

Re: Rumours Thread

which I think is one of the reason they arent playing well. The players with no future have probably been told to find a club or get your agent circulating your name for transfer.

I'm not too sure about that.

My gut feeling is that MM has a quandary. I doubt if he has said anything to Kelly yet to indicate that he is for the chop - and I don't think we can be even sure that he is for the chop. Where is the evidence that suggests this?

The puzzle for MM is that if he tells Kelly he is going then would this have an even more debilitating effect. I actually think that he should if only to raise the morale of fans - but I wouldn't think that was MM's main priority.

Similarly with the players: we know for almost certain that they are unmotivated i.e. they underachieve through lack of effort and/ or confidence. The guess - but only a guess - is that they have no confidence in Kelly. But where is the evidence that some have been told that they are on the way out - it can't be based on the fact that they aren't playing well now because they have been crap almost all season long.

I put the position down to poor management; badly motivated players without the capacity for self-motivation and a sense of being in limbo whilst waiting to see if MM is serious about change or simply wanted ownership.

Stranger things have happened than us being relegated in spite of our apparant safe cushion. I don't think we will go down and assuming that all will be revealed this month or next. If MM is serious about LCFC then he will dismiss Kelly as soon as we are mathematically safe and this is highly unlikely because it would look churlish or - much more likely - immediately the season ends. If he doesn't do either of those things then I think Leicester City are doomed to continue to sink into the mud.

Leicester are lining up a £1m bid for Gillingham midfielder Matt Jarvis. (The Sun)

From the BBC Sport gossip column...

League One side Gillingham have rubbished claims they have received an enquiry from Leicester for highly-rated winger Matt Jarvis.
The player is out of contract at the Priestfield Stadium in the summer and has already attracted interest from Plymouth Argyle and Nottingham Forest, but they failed to entice the Gills into selling and were snubbed by Jarvis' agent respectively. However, it is being claimed that the Foxes are preparing to offer up to £1million to secure the player's services which has been denied by the club.

A club spokesman said: "It's all speculation with him at the minute and to be honest I don't know how a club could make a bid because the window is shut.
"If he doesn't stay then that will boil down to the end of the season because we will receive a fee through tribunal with him being under 23."

Here's some stuff from soccervoice.com

Things are not going as planned at the Walkers Stadium. The club hasn't managed to win a single game since early February and they are just above the relegation zone.

Rob Kelly's days as manager looks numbered but he will probably be staying until the end of the season. Bryan Robson, Glenn Hoddle and Greame Souness has all been mentioned as possible candidates to take over.

Injuries, stupid suspensions and lack of consistancy in team selections are all reasons for the collapse. Daily Mirror reports today that as many as 11 players could be given the boot in the summer and that a number of new players are on the way in.

The latest rumours are that S****horpe's Billy Sharp and Birmingham's Mikael Forssell are targets so could Gilingham's Matt Jarvis be.

Paddy McCarthy has been linked with a move to Fulham and players such as Robbie Earnshaw and Jason Koumas could both be on the list of new players coming in.

Re: Rumours Thread

are any of these rumours ever be true??

Re: Rumours Thread

If they all turn out to be true we are looking at some full houses next season. There will be enough squad players sitting around spare to fill the East Stand
