yeh agreed, we need to be looking at them types of players but it is difficult to get players that like who want a good wage, and want to play under a good manager, so it will be hard for us if MM doesn't change things around.

'I can confirm Tim Davies (Leicester exec) was on the phone to Peter Lawwell (Celtic chief exec) today (Tuesday) as I work at the club. After a bit of investigation work I can reveal the phone call was about the availability of Craig Beattie and Derek Riordan. Its obviously up to the Celtic management team but neither have played regulary this season.'


Riordan looked good when he was at Hibs

Riorden was close to signing for Cardiff earlier in the season, probably RK/MM sounding out potential players (ie players not getting regular football) it is sure to be a bloody big list!

Riordan would be a great signing imo.
heard strong rumour about james beattie...not overly excited by the prospect but might be good in the championship.emphasize the might :icon_bigg

Riordan may be a decent signing but hes a bad temperament problem,very easy to wind up and could spend more of the season banned than playing

Let us not forget that Maybury, De Vries, Hughes and Douglas looked like decent players up in Scotland...

I think that myth deceives.

Maybury was quoted as average, De Vries also quoted average and I was told by a Hearts fan he was crap, Hughes we were told lightweight but decent potential and Douglas everyone already knew was terrible.

The only player I think HF (I'm guessing he comes across Scot footie on TV and in papers) said would be any good was Maybury. Which he initially was.

paddy knisb is the best player in our team and he is from scotltish league, he can cut it in league, Maybury has been better than all the other lads we have got from scotland, he actually plays well in the league, unlike mark de fries who was apparently one of the best forwards in the scottish league but forgot his boots everytime he got the ball, hughes is fecking crap its embrassing to see he plays for a team like leicester, rab dougie is kevin pressmans brother from a different mother, sylla fecked off back to scotland, who does that leave that can actually play from scotland in this league,
