So you would play MDV ahead of Fryatt?

Also the fact the Fryatt has had such a great manager behind him has helped. :icon_rollI know we can't get the likes or Rooney and Ronaldo or even anywhere near that standard of player, but Fryatt is a lot closer than MDV is to being that type of quality player.

If there were a poll on here, who would you rather play? MDV or Fryatt, I know which one would win, and it would be quite convincing.

You no doubt think CL is/was shite.I think Fryatt will turninto a good Striker but I also accept MDV did a job for us for a 50grand Striker

i don't want hammond persecuted but he's always getting slagged off for not putting in enough effort and missing chances

He's gets/got no where near the stick MDV got.Hammond is slated for missing chances because frankly he does,his scoring record for a Striker is nothing short of woeful

I was more thinking this season with Kelly.

I have never said MDV was not worth the 50k, I just find it laughable that people would rather him play than Matty Fryatt, in fact, I'm almost pissing myself just typing it, it is so unbelievable!

you obviously dont get it do you? I would rather have the goal scorer in our team, be it Fryatt, MDV, Hammond or Hume.... the one who will give you a better chance of goals.
What you are saying is you would moan at a return of 10 goals for £50K but say nothing at 10 goals for £750K. You are also saying you would prefer to see a better player on the pitch who misses goals rather than someone who would score goals.
I am not sticking up for MDV either, I just get pissed off with people sucking Fryatts cock for doing nothing and lamblasting MDV in the next breath.

I find it laughable you would put a non scoring attacker in front of one who does.
I would play anyone ahead of Fryatt IF their goalscoring record was better

They are totally different types of players,Fryatt has done very little to warrant his price tag and the hype.Next season he neeeds to gets his head down and play regulary,its ok having potential but he needs to start showing it and not bellyaching about his feet or whatever it is,I think he may well be a bit of a Nancy boy.MDV has gone he won't play for us ever again so just give the guy a break.Whats the point in putting players up against each other ? Tell you what lets have a poll...Fryatt or Lineker..I know which one would win.A pointless exercise IMO

He has a long way to go to be on par, but he has the potential so I am told, next season is his make or break season..... unless as HF pointed out he is a nancy boy

I just found MDV so frustrating to watch, he was so weak and crap in the air for such a big guy.

I'm not moaning at MDV's strike rate, it is a lot better than what it was made out to be, I'm just saying that if both were fit, then I would play Fryatt every time.

TBH I think MDV would have been a very good squad player for the season just ending but now the summer has arrived we should look to get rid of all the dead wood and be looking forward to seeing players a lot better than MDV!

personally i think with the exception of 2 or three games fryatt has been complete wank. i will get those who have posters of him on their walls in his lingerie kicking off but i just don't see what is so good. his goal against derby showed he can have some class but his season overall shows that he can't find it most of the time

The coin is in the air for me and he can go on to be a decent striker or dissapear into the backwaters of Football.I can't help thinking he needs a good boot up the jacksie and maybe a new Manager will do that

Every point in comparing players. Lineker Fryatt is pointless as Lineker doesn't even play anymore. :icon_roll

MDV is still officially a Leicester City player, so there is every worth in comparing our current players that can play in the same position.

Next season is Fryatt's big one, but I have full faith in him, that providing he can get fit over the summer, we will see Fryatt playing much more like when he first joined us, scoring a lot more often than he has this season. Also, he should be getting a bit of decent service next season so him and Hume don't have to drop back and do it all themselves.

Yet again, I'm not having a go at MDV, I'm saying that I would play Fryatt ahead of MDV.

Even if 5 or 6 players came in we still need most of the current shower of sh*te to stay to provide injury/suspension cover and possibly competition for places! The new manager is going to have a busy boot going up a lot of jacksies!
