Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded autumn/winter 2019/20 rumours thread.

Lallana is more likely to keep Matty James company so it's a no from me
I’d happily take a fit Adam Lallana, he’s a cracking player and unlike anything we currently have, he’d add much needed experience too. But given the limited squad size and massive wages he’d be on I’d say no too.

He appears to be a decent lad and he's a good player. The downside is his injuries, but he's the sort of signing that could be good for the character of the dressing room, so I think he'd be a decent addition.

Lallana gets injured every time he plays for any sustained period of time. He has on-going knee, hamstring and groin issues that will always flare up. That's why he never plays for any length of time. Liverpool just use him as a late substitute because that's about all he can do.

Aside from this, the impact of those injuries mean that he's got no pace any more. I also don't see how he'd fit into either our formation or our approach - he won't do the running that is required.

He'll be 32 in May. He's just after some mug club giving him a final pay day and his agent is touting him about as he knows there is zero chance that Liverpool will extend his contract.

82 Premier League starts for Liverpool in six seasons. This record compares very closely to Matty James first six years at City (he managed 79).

The best Lallana can hope for is a promoted side taking a punt on him or some idiot side that never learn like West Ham.

So, your not quite sure then?

Brendon Rogers.

Never really rated him in the first place, nevermind all the injury issues. I wouldn't bother with Lallana.

Aaron Ramsey could be available. Could be the kind of experience we need for the CL

Leaving aside that Man City will throw £10milllion + worth of lawyers at the UEFA decision, some of their players might want to leave with no Champions League football for two years. So who might be available, and who will Man City have to dump to balance their books with a £100million + drop in income?
